They serve wonderful hard ice cream. It is really creamy. There are a lot of flavors to choose from. I would have rated them 5 star on tase alone but they dont have anywhere inside to sit down and they dont really rotate their flavors. They do have a sitting area, but it is outside. Nice sometimes but it is also right near a street and there are sometimes long lines. It is hard to keep the kids occupied in line while making sure they dont run into the road. They get bonus points though because they stay open all year round. So that is nice for a winter craving. I would like it better if they would rotate their flavors a little more and offer some different things. The good old standbys are great though and I would recommend this place to anyone.
My stepkids go this daycare. It is not one I choose for my children. The cost is a little expensive. They are a little dirty. My husbands kids love it there. I sometimes see too many kids to a teacher ratio. They do not really enforce rules. The kids seem to learn what they are supposed to (abc's, etc.) but they are not set up for special needs at all (one of our children has ADHD and they dont really handle it well.) They talk about parents and other teachers in front of the children. The teachers dont seem to pay a lot of attention to the children and sometimes the kids can get hurt and no one notices. Our 5 year old got a broken nose at 11:00 am and no one "noticed" until we picked him up at 6:00 and took him to the ER because his whole face was black and blue. You would think someone would call or notice something like that. Their christmas program every year I have seen it is a weird experience as the owner is a little eccentric. While the children are doing their songs, she literally LECTURES the parents on parenting skills and offers for everyone to stay late to see her dance videos of the "good old days" when she was a ballroom dancer. One good thing is they are very flexible with payment "situations" and have reduced our cost to match other less expensive places in the area. My husband and the kids mom seems to think this day care is ok, but I would not sent my kids there.
Dr Rice and his staff are very nice and patient. They take care to make sure I am comfortable and happy with my visit. I dont know if they are affordable because I have good dental insurance. They always fit me in if I have an immediate need. They give all their patients flowers which is nice. They have a family atmosphere there. Not really a dentist geared towards children, but our kids like them. They have never hurt me and have always referred me elsewhere if they thought I needed to go. They dont try to sell me anything or talk me into other services that I dont need or want. They seem to be honest. They give me cost and health options when I need something above the norm. A great dentist. I would refer anyone to Dr Rice.
This spa was very relaxing. They didnt hurt me at all. The pedicure massage is sometimes a little rough depending on who you get, but the pedicure is great. My nails always look great and I am really picky. They listen to the specific details of what I want. Sometimes I have to wait for a little bit. But you could alleviate that by making an appointment. Nice area to sit and play computer games, watch tv, read, etc. while waiting. I dont like to talk a lot when I am getting my nails done and they seem to understand that and dont try to force a conversation. For some reason, probably products or better cuticle trim, my nail tips dont seem to need filled as often so I can go three weeks between fills when I am used to going two other places. Average priced. Great experience. Would recommend to everyone.
This salon is under new ownership and the new owners are always nice and will do your nails however you like. They are average priced. My nails always look good, but not great-but I am very picky. They almost always hurt me a little which I do not find very relaxing and this is the reason I eventually found somewhere else to go. Usually they would remember my name when I went which I found nice.
This gym offers younger kids some basic tumbling skills. Not good for growing with the children as most kids that go there are between 6-12. Also doesnt really have programs for advanced learning. The teachers are very very nice and friendly and will work with payment plans. They are financially flexible and affordable. Our children learned a lot of general stuff but not a lot of specifcs about fine tuning, e.g., when to point toes, how to hold hands and arms, etc. I liked that they offered picture day and had a play area for younger kids-even though it was a little dirty. I would recommend this place for younger kids that are starting out for a good basic learning skill set. Mostly a female base here so not a great place for little boys, but they offer some classes. Instructors are young kids and sometimes dont pay enough attention to the kids. But overall a great experience. Our children just outgrew the skill set they were offering.
Our elementary aged kids are three years apart. Dana put them in the same class when they were obviously very unmatched in skill. Our older child suffered from this and lost some of his advanced skillset. We talked with her about this, but she said they were fine. We finally withdrew and went elsewhere. Our children did not really learn anything at Danas. They played and ran around mostly. The teachers really didnt pay a lot of attention to them. Our kids had fun because there were some neat things they could climb on. The teachers did not keep them occupied and didnt manage them well at all. The class was very small, so I think we should have received more focused care. I would recommend this place to someone that has a child that is interested in slower paced activity and just having fun. This place was average priced.
Our elementary aged kids seem to learn more specifics about various skills. A great example is a headstand. Our kids could do it via instruction from other gyms, but ad Deveaus, they fill in the details - like hold your abs tight, point your toes, spread your arms, etc Other gyms had a tendency to let the kids run around wherever they wanted and didnt really provide focused feedback. From our perspective, these teachers work with large classes very well, showing attention to each child via constructive criticism, support, and praise. I was worried at first because the classes are a little larger than we were used to. But after observing for awhile, I noticed that all of the kids were getting pointers and were improving from week to week. There are a good age range of kids there as well with both boys and girls. The cost is a little more than other places we have experienced (like $20 every 5 weeks or so), but our kids are learning real gymnastics. The cost is well worth it! Many of the other gyms we went to had just younger kids so we worried about where they would go when they matured. At Deveaus, there are various levels of expertise that can follow them through high school age. And they could eventually do competition if they wanted. It is too early to do that with them, but it is nice to have the option. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants their kids to really learn gymnastics/cheerleading/tumbling/etc. and wants somewhere their kids can attend through various skill levels and ages.
I had my car windows tinted at this location. When I saw the tint, it had some bad spots in it. I mentioned it to the guy at the counter and he tried to get me to pay for it without looking at the problem. When I refused, he took a look and then had the guys pull it back in to fix it. It still wasnt right. He had them fix it again. Finally I paid and was happy until I stopped to get gas and noticed they had gotten grease all over the back (leather) seat and floor of my new car-that didnt come all the way out when I cleaned it. My husband called and complained and cancelled his appointment for some work that he had scheduled for his own car. They tried to make him pay for his cancelled appointment. After some checking around, he found that they offered the best $ deal on the work he wanted (he wanted his windows tinted and stripes put on his NEW sports car) so he went back. They ended up putting the WRONG COLOR stripes on his car when he gave them pictures and everything of what he wanted. They refused to give his car back to him until he split the cost with them of repairing their mistake. They were so rude about their errors and YELLED at us for their mistake and charged us to fix it. We called the police and a lawyer and both said they would legally keep the car if they wanted! We decided it wasnt worth the fight or money so we paid. The work they did on both cars was good. Not great. And certainly not worth the hassle and cost of dealing with them. We will never go back there and will never suggest anyone else go either.
