New York, NY Skin Care 09/09/05: 'Bare bones for high prices'

This place is like having a facial in a doctor's office. Actually you don't really get a facial you get treatments and your in and out in a short amount of time. This isn't bad for some, but I didn't enjoy the "clinical" approach. I'd much rather spend the money on a good facial in a nice relaxing spa.

PROS: In and out quickly and good line of skincare products
CONS: Clincal approach

Edward's Steakhouse

Jersey City, NJ Steakhouses 09/06/05: 'Excellent food and service'

I couldn't believe it when my husband and I walked by this restaurant and looked over the menu. An upscale steakhouse in our little Jersey City neighborhood, this must be a joke. Well, the joke was on us. The food is incredible and the service is outstanding. The steak was the best I've ever tasted and you must try the stuffed shrimp - its out of this world! And for dessert you cannot go wrong with the icebox cake -- its my new favorite! It is a bit pricey but well worth the money.

PROS: Excellent food and service
CONS: Pricy, but worth it

Chili's

Jersey City, NJ Restaurants 09/06/05: 'A good dining experience'

They are still ironing out some of the kinks (they only openned a few months ago) but overall, it's been a good experience. There's hardly ever a wait at this location and the food and services have been really good. I would definitely recommend this location.

PROS: Good food, friendly staff
CONS: A bit disorganized at times

The doctors here are friendly and knowledgable. Plus, they make sure to explain everything and give you a written price quote before you agree to have anything done. The offices are a bit rundown and they are located in a not-so-great part of town. However, I have been satisfied with their service and how they handle and treat my dog.

PROS: Friendly and knowledgeable veterinarians
CONS: Not located in a nice area

PetsMart is fine but a lot of products are priced incorrectly. Usually priced lower until you get to the register, you really have to pay attention when you're checking out. It's ok to go to if you must, but I prefer PetCo or PetGoods.

PROS: Clean and friendly
CONS: Prices are mislabeled, almost seems like bait and switch
