Anything that a boater could need can be found in this store. The store always has helpful staff that are more than happy to assist customers. The store is large and spacious and fun to browse.
This company's property looks like a construction site with a small sales trailer, but we've been getting amazing compost from them for 3 years for our garden and landscaping. We've paid about $13 for 1-1.5 yards of dirt -- and it's all rich, dark compost that our flowers and vegetables love! They usually don't measure strictly -- we just back up the truck and they fill it up!
This rental store is...ok. We continue to frequent the store because it is extremely close to our home and they have inexpensive new release rentals ($2.50). But almost every time we rent a DVD we have to return it to the store half-way through because of a glitch/scratch on the disk. We've had so many movies interrupted. Also, they almost sent our account to collections because they claimed we hadn't returned something. It was straightened out fairly quickly but it does make us wary of renting from them again.
Hanson's was first recommended to me after joining the cross-country team inhigh school (10 years ago) and they remain the best in town. No other store that I know of knows so much about their product and the sport that it's used in. No other store that I know of lets you try on shoes and run a couple blocks to see how they feel. The staff are all professionals and will prove it by giving you outstanding service.
PROS: Good for the community -- local experts!
CONS: Small retail space
Hanson's came to our house for a window quote and was twice the amount of the company that we eventually chose. The salesman was about 22 and extremely arrogant and pushy. The pitch was cheesy at best and could have been cut in half. We knew after 30 minutes that this was not what we wanted but had to sit through the entire pitch. The product was not unique at all-- except for the ridiculous price -- that was posed as such a great deal for us.
CONS: Expensive, pushy sales staff
We had Wallside replace 6 windows + a doorwall in our home. The price was extremely reasonable (less than half of what two other companies proposed) and the work was excellent. They even added new trim around our gorgeous doorwall and helped me fix my outside gate -- just because they were there! They completed the work in one afternoon. The salesman that visited us was awesome -- not pushy at all and refused to trash his competitors. We are customers for life!
PROS: Excellent work at a reasonable price.
Dr, Kobe is great -- very calm & comforting and spends an above-average amount of time with patients (in my experience). The office & staff are very friendly and Dr. Kobe is involved & interested in future plans (children, etc.).
PROS: Great bedside manner
This company was great to work with. We live across town but were able to set up an appointment quickly. The trip out + 1 hour labor was $155. They had to make a return trip to complete the actual repair, but the $155 was not charged twice. I was actually given a 15-minute credit on the 2nd trip since the first advisor was only there 45 minutes. Unfortunately the 2nd service advosor didn't know about the credit, but a refund check was mailed to me within 2 days! A call can be made after 9am to get a 2-hour window of thetime that they'll arrive and the advisors themselves will call when they're within a half hour. The first guy was early, the second guy was about 15 minutes later than he had estimated. All in all, an effective service.
This is a small-town bakery that makes everything fresh and from scratch daily. Loaves of bread, desserts, sugar-free selections, hamburger and hot dog buns, the works! the only drawback is that they only take cash, but this is a great alternative to the grocery store or other high-end bakeries such as Panera.
PROS: Excellent food, great prices
CONS: Only accepts cash
My pedicures have always turned out nicely, but the chairs are not connected to foot baths, they use the portable ones that anyone can buy and use at home. Also, the pedicures take a LONG time -- I've been there for close to three hours for a pedicure/manicure.
The one time my eyebrows were waxed at this salon, the came out differently (2 different arches).
I've never had my hair or makeup done here.
PROS: Nice end result
CONS: means not worth the ends
