I've used this shop for repairs to women's high heels when the material covering the heel has been damaged. They did good quality work for me, and I was extremely satisfied. I think I had to leave the shoes for several days though, which I did not expect. The shop is inside the mall, and conveniently located right at one of the main mall entrances. They also sell shoelaces, polish, water repellants, and those little high heel replacement plugs (hope you know what I am talking about, because I am not sure what the proper name for them might be).
Someone recommended this place to me when I needed to get my car really clean and detailed, and I have to agree that they did a great job. I dont remember ever seeing anyone in person there, because I made arrangements to drop my car off and pick it up after hours. They were very reasonably priced, especially considering what other places are charging these days just for a mechanical car wash. This place washed, waxed and meticulously detailed the inside of my car for an unbelievably good price.
I think this place has been around since the dark ages! It has a grand reputation for having anything and everything that you might want to rent for a wedding and/or reception. They have all the standard stuff you might need for any event or party, such as tables, chairs, linens, serving dishes, flatware, silverware, china, and stemware, etc. They also have some things that you might not think of, including punch sets, bars and dance floors. However, they are notoriously known for having special wedding related items, such as fountains, carpet runners, and gazebos. Finally, I think the hot commodities that are known for sometimes being in short supply are the arches and wishing wells. Im sure they could charge astronomical prices for some of these items, because it is my understanding that at least a few are not available anywhere else in the general St. Petersburg area. However, I dont think their prices have changed all that much in twenty-plus years! Apparently, you can place orders online now. However, you might want to pop in, as there just might be something there that you never would have thought of without seeing it.
I really like the White Buffalo. It is one of those kiosk booths located in the mall. What I know them for is selling good quality Sterling Silver jewelry at reasonable prices. Much of that silver jewelry is what one might call American Indian style. The person that assisted me gave me a business card, and said to call and let them know if there was anything in particular that I was looking for, and indicated that they could probably find whatever I desired in the vein of the merchandise that they carried.
This pawn shop earns a 5-star rating based primarily on the honesty and fairness of its deals. I really appreciate how the manager (who I believe is also the owner) runs this business. I am not the only person that I know that has gotten great deals on purchases made there. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), I have not pawned anything, so I am unable to comment from that perspective. I highly encourage everyone to check out this pawn shop, whether you are looking to buy or pawn something.
I was so excited when this store first opened up, because of its great location and also because at the time, there were so few natural / health foods stores in the area. However, I was quite disappointed when I visited. Although the store looked rather large from the outside, the product inventory was very limited and the store was sparsely stocked for the overall space inside. Not that the shelves were sparsely stocked, but the aisles were abnormally wide and short, and there was a lot of space all around them. They carry groceries, bulk foods, and vitamins, albeit in limited selection. I must admit that the store was immaculate. I do not really remember anything in particular about the staff, although I did ultimately buy a few items. It is a nice store, if they happen to have some items that you want or need.
Superior Auto Body is a family owned business that has been in this area for over thirty years. I used to go to Superior Auto Body when it was located in a hanger in a commercial/industrial section of town, a little off the main road. I have not been to this new location yet (since the move/relocation), as it just opened over the past couple of months, but I do know that it is state of the art. They've always been honest in their dealings with me, and their cost estimates are consistently competitive. The staff is nice and professional at all times. And I know for a fact that this company provides exemplary auto body repair services and unbelievably SUPERIOR workmanship. They also have a lifetime guarantee!
I like this store and the furniture that it offers, but not its prices. I shopped around quite a bit the last time that I was in the market for furniture. There are a couple of different stores in the area that sell good quality unfinished wood furniture, which you take home and stain / finish yourself. I liked the wider variety of furniture that Barewood Outlet offered. However, when I found the exact same piece of furniture at Barewood and one of its competitors, it would always be more expensive at Barewood. When I first heard about this store, I expected it to be less expensive since the word "outlet" was in its name. However, that was not the case at all.
PROS: Larger selection than the competition.
CONS: More expensive than the competition.
This place does extraordinary work. They install bedliners, and caps or "toppers" on various kinds of trucks. They offer toppers in a variety of styles, and will custom match them to the paint color of your vehicle. They are well respected in the community, and charge reasonable rates. In addition to everyone in my family, I think everyone in town goes to Topper Town for toppers!
This company was recommended to me because the complex where I lived used them. They came out and performed an inspection of my problem and property free of charge. However, the advice that he gave me to resolve my problem sounded odd to me, so I called a number to other pest control companies and governmental agencies compare advice. None of the other companies or agencies agreed with what Florida State Termite advised me to do. In fact, someone of them strongly urged me not to follow said advice and explained why. They did so regardless of whether or not I would be hiring them to resolve my problem. I have to admit that the prices that Florida State Termite quoted to me were extremely reasonable, and the rep that inspected my property also gave me some product free of charge while he was here.
