I started seeing Dr. Meadows last year for some back problems and was very skeptical with seeing a chiropractor in the beginning. But I couldn't be more pleased with the results, Dr. Meadows or the staff at Meadows Chiropractic Center. Dr. Meadows is very personable and actually spent quite a bit of time with me, especially the first few visits, to ensure I understood and was comfortable with the treatment. Not too many doctors will take that kind of time with their patients. Also, the staff at Meadows always makes me feel welcome, and they actually call me by name when I walk in the door. This clinic is at the top of my list!
Dr. Nickels is my dentist, and I have really been pleased. Dr. Nickels is very down-to-earth and never seems rushed when he examines you. He actually gives a very thorough exam and does an oral cancer screening at each visit. One of the things I like best about Dr. Nickels is that he doesn't try to "sell" me things the way some of my past dentists have, i.e., teeth whitening. I trust Dr. Nickels and would definitely recommend him.
Dr. Smiley is my children's dentist. She really loves children and it shows. She takes time with each patient and makes them feel special. She talks to the children on a level they really respond to. The office is fun and the staff is usually great. The only problem I ever had was on my son's first visit; he was scared and didn't want to lie on the table. A dental assistant picked him up and forced him on the table, which really scared him more. I had to ask her not to do that again. I also requested that she not be the assistant assigned to my children, and I have not had any further problems.
Dr. Hamilton is my children's pediatrician, and we just love him! He is so good with the children and they think he is a riot. He listens very well, and is very caring and understanding. He will even call you back at 3:00 AM if there is a problem. The only drawback is that I've noticed his nurses don't always get everything right. I kind of have to stay on top of them if I have a request, but Dr. Hamilton is worth it.
I had seen several other eye doctors within a short period of time trying to find some answers to a chronic eye problem that I had developed. I was actually referred to Dr. Weikert by another Ophthalmologist and it turned out to be a godsend! Although I found Dr. Weikert's staff to be a bit curt, Dr. Weikert himself deemed to be outstanding. I found him very sincere and caring. He took the time to listen to me and answered any questions I had. He also told me of simple and non-costly remedies that could help my problems that I still use today. Not only did he help me with my problem, but he saved me money in the process!
Dr. Thomas Limbird was my mother's orthopedic surgeon. I took her to see him many times over the period of 2 years, and he performed her two knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Limbird is very caring and personable, as was his staff. He went beyond the call of duty in working with my mother's insurance companies to make sure she received the care and help she needed during this difficult time in her life. He even personally filled out some insurance forms right there i the examination room to help expedite coverage for my mother. Not too many doctors will fill out their own paperwork!
Dr. Louis Johnson has been our family doctor for nearly 10 years, and we couldn't be more pleased with him (or his efficient staff)! He has an excellent bedside manner and, he treats each patient with true concern and respect. I have even seen him personally escort the elderly out of his office. One of the best things about having Dr. Johnson for a doctor is that you feel you can always rely on him. I have contacted his office while out of town on more than one occasion with various health problems, and there is never any hesitation to prescribe me something immediately. Dr. Johnson is a true gem!
Let's face it; no woman enjoys seeing her ob/gyn. However, a visit to see Dr. Richard Presley can make an uncomfortable situation almost seem like a pleasant visit with a friend. Dr. Presley is one of the few doctors I have met that genuinely seems to care about each of his patients as a person. Whether you see him for a medical problem or an annual exam, he invites you to sit down in his office and discuss his findings with you after each examination. Dr. Presley helped me through several health problems, delivered both of my children, and now sees most of my female friends and family members. He greets you with a smile, asks about your family (by their names), and offers a hug and a prayer if you need it. He also has a really great sense of humor. The only downside to seeing Dr. P is that he's in great demand. Although, I've never known him not to accept new patients, I usually have to schedule my annual visit several months in advance.
