I love Elite Nails. I got there about every two weeks to get my nails done and they are always on time with their appointments. I have never had a problem with them breaking or coming off and the nail tech that I always go to looks at my nails while I have my fake ones off to make sure they are staying healthy. They have a lot of different polishes but I always get the french manicure. The prices are a little high but you don't have to worry about them coming off or breaking.
If you are tired of plucking, waxing or whatever you do to get rid of your eyebrow hair or unwanted hair- you really should look into Electrolysis. I did and was very pleased. It did take a lot of appointment and the first few were a little painful but Carolyn did a wonderful job and makes it as painless as it can be. They use creams to make it not swell and hurt as bad and are as gentle as they can be. It can be expensive and does take more than one treatment but it is worth it in the end.
My Jeweler in Bedford is a nice store that has a lot in it. They have cases and cases of rings and jewelry. I have only bought a couple things from them but have gotten a lot repaired there. They have redone a lot of clasps for me and sized at least 10 rings for me. They are always fast and the prices can't be beat! They treat the customers with respect and are so very helpful. They stay open later so you can go after work. Check them out if you are looking for jewelry or if you need jewelry repaired.
Green's Produce really does have all things grown in Texas. I go for east Texas tomatoes and for locally grown fruits and vegtables. They have been around for a long time and their quality stays wonderful. Their prices have gone up a little but are still better than most grocery stores. They do have some house plants and some nuts and things but it is all Texas grown. I even get jars of honey from them that has the honeycomb in them and it is Texas grown. The workers are wonderful and helpful. They tell you where everything was grown and comes from.
All I can say about the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth is Beautiful. It is beautiful no matter what time of year it is. They take such good care of the grounds and are always adding new things to it. It will be crowded on nice spring and fall days but you can still find little areas where you can sit by yourself and enjoy the beauty. They also have a seperate part that is called the Japanese Gardens but you have to pay extra to go through them but it is nice when they have all the leaves changing and you can go thru it. A must do for all those in the fort worth area.
Sweet and Sassy is the CUTEST salon. It is for little girls and makes them want to go get their haircut. It is all pinks and pastels and decorated the way any girl would love. The hairsytlist really know how to deal with kids and they make it fun for them. They also do a lot of other things for the kids and it makes a chore something fun. They are a little expensive but it is worth it.
This is one of my favorite pack and mail type places. The staff is very helpful and always willing to help you pack your items. I have had some really difficult items to wrap and pack and they have always found a way to get them there in one piece. They do charge for all the fillers and boxes but it is worth it when you care about what you are shipping, They are easy to find and there is enough parking but it can get crowded because of the stores around them.
Elliot's Hardware is one of the small hometown hardware shops of the past. They have been around forever and you can tell from how they treat their customers. They have more than hardware. They have a selection of home appliances and some gift ware. It is a nice place to browse and reminds me of the old days when the hardware store was little and not a huge cold warehouse. The staff is very very friendly and helpful. The prices are average and competitive with more hardware stores.
I have bought so much at RockaBye Bay. They are a resale shop that has infant to about 7 to 9 year old clothes. The also have a small selection of maternity clothing. They really do have name brand clothes at a great price. I have gotten dressed with the Foley's tags still on them for a fraction of what the Foley's tag said. I have never take clothes to them to sell but you see people bringing in bags of stuff for them to sell and everyone seems to leave happy. The girls that work there are very nice and run a wonderful shop.
This is the ONLY place and I mean only place we can find a filter for out pool sweep cleaner. I love Bonnie and Clydes because the staff is the nicest around. They have a large showroom and everything you need for your pool. We bought our ladder there and always get our filters there. They even have an outdoor pool where they have samples set up and will walk you through setting up your pool sweep.
