Technically a cigar and tobacco shop, Edwards of San Marco has so much more. Customer service is the key from the moment you walk into the store. The atmosphere and decor hints at European and there are unique gifts and treasures in every inch of the store.
The main reason I visit is there extensive line of Lamp Bergere oil lamps and scented oils. I've tried several scents for my own home so far and love the collection of the beautiful lamps.
Kuhn Flowers has been one of the top shelf florists in North Florida for many years. Cut arrangements and potted plants are all prepared with every detail in place. I recently recieved a dishgarden and potted plant and was again reminded why I prefer the care and quality that flows from each order they deliver. Customer Service at Kuhn is the more professional.
The price is slightly higher, but when you want to make sure that your order for flowers arrives in perfect condition, it's well worth the slight difference in cost.
If you are looking for a nice dance group for your child you may want to give Step by Step in Argyle a call. Ms. Regina offers classes in tap, ballet, modern and hip hop. The class sizes are small, but then..so is the building. Parking can be difficult, but the personalized instruction is worth it. Most of the girls that start with Step by Step stay for years. Each year the dance classes have a large recital at the Florida Theater. This is the highlight for the year and always quite a spectacular production.
The loss of someone dear is always difficult to bear. The professional staff at Jacksonville Memory Gardens have the experience and compassion to help.
I've been to several services over the years at their Chapel and cemetary and have never failed to have been impressed with how smoothly and detail-oriented the services have been. The chapel is warm and welcoming while being very dignified. The grounds are kept immaculately.
Periodontal work is never easy. But Dr. Christian Berdy's chairside manner helps. His office is highly professional and the waits are not too long.
Dr. Berdy has a gentle touch and is meticulous about getting a procudure done right. His services are pricey, but I think that is the case with any dental specialist.
His office while in an older are of town, are clean and outfitted with new equipment.
We've frequented this shop many times over the years. (I've got a lifetime Boy Scout at my home) The shop is filled to the brim and generally bustling on Saturday mornings. The staff is happy to help IF you can get their attention. The prices aren't too bad. Model builders will be happy as will be train collectors. The parking is good once you've dealt with the notorious Blanding Blvd. traffic. They've been in business for years and years and if you can't find it in the store, they know where to get it.
Heaven...chocolate heaven. The scent alone in this trendy shop can bring the chocolate lover to his/her knees. Each and every piece of chocolate they sell is hand dipped and made of only the very best ingredients.
The creativy is amazing. Chocolate pizza? Yup..they've got that too. Chocolate covered brownies?? What a way to go!!!
The seasonal items will make you somebody's hero!
Round Robin has been in business for around 30 years in Orange Park. They carefully screen any clothing that comes into the shop and do not hesitate to reject items that are damaged even in slight ways.
The racks are not overcrowded and easy to look through. Chidren's, Men's and Women's areas. Plenty of parking and usually not very crowded. The prices sometimes seem high for used clothing, but you get what you pay for, I guess. If you want to take things in, it's important to call ahead for an appointment. They do not permit drop-offs or walk-ins.
This last spring was my son's first Prom. We'd never had him fitted for a Tuxedo before. We tried several of the larger chains and everything was a bit 'too trendy" for his personal taste and a bit "too pricey" for my wallet.
We tried Michael's near J.C.Penney in the Orange Park Mall and were delighted with how easy it all was.
The salesgirl never rushed my son and was happy to offer up suggestion after suggestion after carefully fitting him.
The price was substantially lower the other places we had looked. During pick-up and drop-off everything was a breeze. My son looked great and had a great time.
I know that we'll return to Michael's again this coming spring.
A nice neighborhood showroom of rustic, log and southwestern furniture. The quality seems nice although a little expensive. It's not really what I enjoy at my home but I can see how some people would love some of the unique items that they sell.
The store manager was friendly and quite a salesman.
