The Christian Gift Center is a locally owned christian book and music store in Lewiston. We shop there about once a month. My boys love it that there is always a new Vegie Tale or other movie playing and we can check out the new music on the head sets that they have available with your choice of music you want to listen to before purchasing. They have a great selection of books on family and other topics of interest. I can always pick up a couple of movie rentals while we are there, too. They have a wonderful Christmas promo sale every year after Thanksgiving and send out coupons. Really, this is the only place in the valley to find it all in one place! I highly recommend shopping there.
Pepperland Records and tapes is located on Main Street in downtown Lewiston. It is a small, locally owned record store and carries a wide variety of new and used items. My husband was looking for a cd from a very obsolete artist from Ireland. We could not find it through any of the major mainstream chain music stores. Not even with their special order programs but were able to go into Pepperland and they even knew who we were looking for! It took about 2-3 weeks to receive it but it was new, unopened and a cd that my husband had wanted to find for a long time. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. And we have returned several times to purchase other items. I would highly recommend checking them out!
We took an injured dog here to Southway Animal Clinic and they we were satisfied in the care that they provided. I believe that they are a good and kind vet establishment but honestly we take our own pets to another vet in the valley that truly impressed us with the care of our dogs. I would recommend that anyone looking for a regualr vet check all of the vet hospitals in the valley before settling on this one for regular care of their pets.
We have taken several of our pets here for immuniztions or to be neutred or spade. They seem to do fine with the animals and are efficient and thorough. Although we have found another vet in the valley since that time when we first moved here that we like much better and believe is superior. I would not disregard a referral to Orchards Pet Hospital but I would definitely look into the other vets available in the valley before settling on this one.
Tomorrow's Treasures in a locally owned gift shop/mall that features man arts and crafts by artists in and around the Lewis'Clark Valley. They have everything from dried floral wreaths, tole painting and hand poured candles. A nice place to stop in if you are looking for something for your home or a gift and want to support the local people and artists.
The Rustic Rabbit carries a wonderful variety of furniture and gifts. Some antiques and some shabby chic style. I could spend quite a long time in this shop in an afternoon. I bought several small Christmas items here last holiday season and plan to go to their open house again this November. If you are looking for something unique definitely stop in here. A truly pleasant surprise of a shop!
We have received the Lewiston Morning Tribune for the five years that we have lived here. My husband really enjoys it and I basically subscribe to this local paper because he thinks he can't live without it. I enjoy the Sunday edition for the more interesting articles that it carries on that day. I find it interesting enough and for a local daily newspaper it covers the news quite well.
We received a referrals from several other teachers in the area to see Dr. Petracca as our family optometrist. There are five of us and so far four of us have seen him for all our eye care needs. He is very professional and thorough and interacts well with kids also. We will continue to see him as our family eye care provider and would highly recommend him to anyone asking for a referral for a reputable and affordable eye doctor.
Gramma's Attic has darling handmade and special order items for infants, children and nursing mothers. I have received numerous items as gifts at my baby showers from here and have also purchased a special order car seat pillow for my toddler. Made of high quality materials and cute designs,I would recommend looking here for a gift.
I honestly only took my suv here for repair because I actually have a Ford warrany contract on it and needed to take it to a Ford repair dealership. I found them to be polite and knowledgeable enough but had problems only six days later after having it repaired by them. I called and felt that I received a level of customer service that really wasn't what I would expect of accept. Eventually, they did fix the problem but if I did not have this Ford warranty contract or there was another dealership in town I would probably not return here again.
