We went there recently to do some community service, and it's a well-oiled machine there. The people who live there seem to absolutely love it there, and their volunteer program is organized extremely well.
Schaumburg Township District Library has got to be one of the best libraries around. It's a beautiful building where you can relax, enjoy reading, studying, etc. The inter-library system is great as well, to access other libraries' inventories.
Dealerships are tricky. They are the source for OEM info and service, but at the same time, you don't know if you can trust them. I've had numerous visits there, and each time they seem to find something else wrong with my car. I'd look for a local place you can trust and stick with them.
Willow Creek is one of the largest churches in America, and is a great resource in the NW suburbs. Bill Hybels is a world-renowned speaker, author, and pastor. It's a place where you can find God, and find people to live life with. Check it out.
Harvest Bible Chapel is a large church in the NW suburbs. People might be afraid to be lost in a large church, but the small group system here prevents that. Incredible biblical teaching from James McDonald.
If you're looking for a quality realtor that will meet your needs, look no further than the Baird & Warner office in Libertyville, and ask for Sonja. She's a bright gal that will do the best job for you.
Realtor Association of Northwest Chicago is a member of the National Association of Realtors, and is a great resource, not just for real estate professionals, but for the general public as well. If you're in the market for buying/selling, they can refer you to quality realtors.
This place is clean, always bustling, and offers a great deal for a haircut at $13. My stylist was friendly, knew exactly what she was doing, and executed it. It's tough to find a place to cut hair well, and I've found it here!
We always rent cargo vans from here. They offer great vehicles at affordable prices, and don't have affiliations with major rental car chains. I got a cargo van for about $50 for a full day. If you're in a pinch, need to move stuff, don't hesitate to call Ace!
Merlin Muffler & Brake has a local neighborhood mechanic feel, where the technicians are nice, polite, and trustworthy, which is the most important quality. I trust them for oil changes, brake jobs, and any other service they offer.
