Bridges Restaurant
The expectations were high and they were not met. A mahi-mahi with pineapple chutney sounded great but it had no pineapple flavor. An herbed parmesan risotto sounded great but was totally bland and you couldn't taste the parm. A bistro steak sounded great but it was a cheap piece of meat. A buttery wine flight sounded great but none of the wines were particularly buttery.
For $150 I expected to be blown away. Needless to say I was not.
Local SEO Guide
If you need help getting your website to rank well in Google for specific keywords you might want to give me a call. I used to work for InsiderPages and I spent a lot of time trying to get it to rank well for all sorts of searches. Now I do this for clients large and small. I am giving myself five stars because I think I do a pretty good job. :)
Carpeteria
I purchased new hardwood floors from Carpeteria about a month ago. The price was reasonable (about $10K for everything all in) and everything came on time. I thought the workers did a great job - I was afraid there was going to be a huge amount of debris and dust but they were able to get everything in and finished in three days with minimal mess. My wife was pretty psyched as was I because I thought for sure she would freak out.
Als Beef & Nancys Pizza
Great pizza. Als Beef and Nancy's Pizza is a good place for pizza. Ask for the beef and pizza. Ask for Al and Nancy. Ask for anything and you'll be happy.
Golden Oaks Construction And Remodeling
I recently did a major kitchen remodel on my house in Pleasanton and I used James Leon of Golden Oaks Construction. He did an awesome job. He was very professional, detailed and super easy to work with. He installed a new sink, garbage disposal, dishwasher, range and other appliances. He demo'd the kitchen and rebuilt an island and walls. He installed a new granite countertop and coordinated the whole project with other sub contractors. He was always available to answer my questions and fixed any problems we encountered right away. And he was very reasonable. I definitely recommend working with Golden Oaks Construction. James is the best general contractor in Pleasanton I have worked with.
Anita's Housekeeping Agency
I've been using Heidi from Anita's housekeeping for three years. She always comes on the scheduled day and works hard to make sure the house is in tip top shape. The price is around $15 - $20 per hour. I find it's worth every penny. Heidi is friendly and even brings me gifts on the holidays. The quality of work is good but does have some variation. Example: sometimes she cleans the porch and windows and sometimes she neglects them for a month or more. friendly service, good prices. but service can vary from time to time. Price Range: $50 - $100
The Cabinet Center
When doing my remodel I shopped around to numerous Pleasanton cabinet stores. My realtor suggested I check out The Cabinet Center. I was very impressed with their customer service. I dealt with Andrew Wilson and he was extremely helpful. He spent a lot of time with me refining my kitchen layout and figuring out which cabinets would be best for my plan. I went with Dura Supreme Camden Maple frameless cabinets with Wheat finish. I found the price to be pretty fair. If you are looking for cabinets in Pleasanton I recommend The Cabinet Center. Ask for Andrew Wilson. He will take care of you.

Ming's Chinese Cuisine & Bar
I just got back from a delicious dim sum lunch at Ming's Restaurant in Palo Alto, CA. The place was packed and we were served quickly and courteously (for a dim sum place). The shu mai was fresh and there was nothing that was super-greasy like you usually get. I highly recommend this place for a business or casual lunch.
Haps Original Steaks & Seafood
When my wife and I are looking for a place that's kind of "special" to go out in Pleasanton, Hap's Original Steaks & Seafood is always on the list. While one of the pricier restaurants in Pleasanton, the food quality is always fairly high and, despite the hotel-restaurant decor in the front room, the ambience has pretty good energy. I recommend dining at the bar which is always enjoyable. Definitely a good place to take the parents when they're in town or when you're looking for a nice place to have a fancy cocktail. The steaks are great. One issue I have is that the great old-fashioned sign out front is misleading. When you walk in you expect the decor to be more like your standard old-fashioned steak joint and it's more modern. If you can get past that you'll have a good time.
