Adventure 16 in Tarzana holds a pretty decent amount of camping and outdoor gear for your needs. This store is smaller in size than their West Los Angeles store which means they can't hold that much equipment. They do have enough equipment to satisfy your outdoor requirements of backpacks, clothing, equipment, etc. As with other A16 stores, they also offer outdoor and camping clinics free of charge - check their website for clinic schedules and times.

PROS: Location, free outdoor clinics and workshops
CONS: Store size, limited equipment inventory

Crago Racing

Jeff Crago, the owner is very accomodating and will work around your schedule for any repairs on service on your motorcycle. They specialize sport bike repairs but can work on any type of motorcycle (dirt bikes, goldwings, cruisers, etc). Need a part? They can get that for you as well at a pretty decent (or low) price. Just make sure to call ahead to see if the part you need is in stock.

PROS: Excellent and friendly service; low price on parts
CONS: Shop location kinda tucked away

Got Sneakers? Looking for those stylish, hard to find, recently released kicks? Give this shop a visit and be amazed at their selection of Pumas and old school kicks. Definite stop for you sneaker lovin' freaks.

Fast Lane Boardshop

Skate, Snow, Surf - typical SoCal surf/skate/snow shop. Lots of surfboard and snowboard selection (especially Burton equipment and gear). Their prices do seem higher than most stores but no crowds to deal with. John, the owner, is very helpful and will share his war stories in surfing and snowboarding with you.

Un Deux Trois

Best selection of running shoes and running gear. Staff very knowledgable with matching the best running shoe for your foot shape.

Chili John's

Homemade chili in 3 diffrent flavors served at a 1940's style bar type diner. They put chili on everything from a hot dog to spaghettis. Warning - when they say 'hot' chili, it's hot!!

Off Vine

Located off Sunset and Vine in Hollywood, its a house converted to a restaurant that serves classic California American cuisine. Dinner is the best time to go. Outside seating in their patio is available. Since it is in Hollywood, don't be surprised tosee other celebrities wining and dining next to you.

Suzuki Of Van Nuys

This shop's been around for a while and anybody with a Suzuki Motorcycle knows about Suzuki of Van Nuys. These guys know their Suzukis and can easily cut you a deal on a new or used Suzook. They also house an excellent Suzuki mechanic.

Ben Alameda Racing

Gone in 60 secs! Race cars only please. Ben Alameda has been featured in magazines and is well known throughout the drag racing industry.
The shop specializes in engine mods for early and late model Mustangs for drag racing and road racing applications but can also accomodate other domestic and import applications. But beware - its a one man shop so the work does take a while to be finished.

Mc Carthy Automotive

Heard too many complaints about this shop. Mustangs and Camaro owners alike have had to take their car somewhere else after dropping a ton of dough on these guys trying to hotrod their rides. Their work has to be constantly redone by another shop.
