I like this market, although a little pricey in compairison to other local markets. It has everything from local honey to weird fruits. Also frozen fruits for pie and preserves. The staff is very friendly and it is extremely fresh right in the heart of the valley.
I am sure this restaurant is great during the day but not so good at 3 am. The cooks and staff are probebly tired by that time. I ordered filet mignon as did three others with me. Our steaks were way overdone, CHEWY! And it took us three hours from start to finish, because it took them so long to get us our food! We werent very pleased but the manager apologized, told us she has had many problems with them this week and gave us a discount. It is pricey there but the food is very good. Could be just one bad day.
This is my local fish and chips joint. It has fresh beer of course because it is a brewery. My favorite is the Ruby with a hint of rasberry! I usually get fish and chips, although not exactly the best for me, it is my fatty splurge. Prices are very reasonable.
Ivars has some great chowder with salmon or clam. They also have an option of a sourdough bread bowl. So good and reasonably priced. It is fast service and tastes fresh. Im sure they have much more seafood available although I never tasted anything other than theyre chowder.
If your in the mood for authentic Mexican I would suggest tacos guaymas. It has a salad type bar with guacamole, salsa, hot or pickled vegis. I like the salad bar because mose restaurants charge you extra or dont give you enough. Also they have a deck for a nice day, it is reasonibly priced since one entree can feed two adults. I suggest chicken nachos.
I moved to Everett is March and ever since I did I am addicted to Pho (a vietnamese hearty soup). It has freash basil, bean sprouts, jalapenos and lime on the side. It is rice noodles with whatever meat you wish. I like pho hung because it has all kinds of pho, such as beef stew pho, my favorite. Also they carry crab pho, duck pho, even bbq chicken pho. And for the few who dont wish for pho a wide variety of traditional dishes like kung pao and mogolian beef and pad thai and some you cant even pronounce. Also all the dishes pictures are hung in plain view on the wall with there name and # so you see what your getting.
I just got my headlight switch repaired at Everett Auto Clinic and it cost me 400 bucks! I had a guy friend and mechanic tell me the reason my headlights didn't work was the headlight switch; which was inside my dashboard and would be difficult to change myself. So I paid to have it done after telling the man what I needed replaced. The man told me there is no such thing under the dashboard and I should have him figure the problem out. Well.... it ended up being exactly what I said it was but now I had to pay him 200 bucks for figuring out what it was again. :( They also tried to tack on a hazardous waste fee but quickly took it off when I asked what it was for.
PROS: They did it and got it done right
CONS: cost me soooooo much!
I loved the food and decor at Lanna Thai. It is full of traditional art and carvings. Flowers on the table and good food in your bellies. Although smaller portions than other thai places and a little pricey. There are coupons for 5 off in your local coupon book or paper. I like the spring rolls and yummy mango shakes. Only downfall is that they are slightly pricey.
Janbo caries Pho and bubble tea also but what makes it so different is they're summer bowl. Alot like vietnamese "bun", It is full of fresh veggies, rice noodles, meat, signature sauce and even a spring roll. Will this big meal around 5 bucks. It comes with tea before and cream puffs after. Tasty and delicious!
Somewhat of a sleazy dive. Mostly an older crowd in upper fortys. I was a little harassed being a twenty something in there. Lots of pull tabs everywhere on the wall if you are into that. Also some pool tables and even a fantasy sports machine if you do those. Has normal bar food and a friendly staff. All in all not too bad of a place for the right person I guess, just not my favorite.
