Tornado Bus Co
We recently took a bus trip from Raleigh to Williamsburg on the Tornado Bus Company. We were very impressed with the courteousness and helpfulness of the driver. However, we were not happy with the cleanliness of the bus or bathroom. There was a mess of paper on the floor of the bus and the restroom in the back wreaked of urine. I am so happy that we did not have to sit in the back as some people said they felt ill. The return trip was better as we had a different bus.
Putt Putt Of Raleigh
Putt Putt golf of Raleigh recently reopened under new management. It was closed for about six months but has come back with a bang! They offer a 18-hole putt putt range as well as a driving range. On the property is Pelican's ice cones. They offer over one hundred flavors of sno-cones - everything fromapple flavor to dill pickle flavor! Hard to believe but true. Best buy is to get the amazon cup (3.00) as it is enough for three people.
Chase Jewelry
I truly have to hand i tto the folks at Chase Jewelry. I recently broke a watch band and went in to have it repaired. The place that I had purchased it at was now long out of business. It only took him a few minutes and when he came out - he gave it to ma and said "No charge!" I was so impressed. NO ONE offers this kind of service for free this day and age. When I say I will go back to them - I mean it! I will go back to them! A good deed goes a long way. Highly recommended!
Drew Julian S Dds
Dr. Drew is the newest dentist in a group of 8. He is a young guy - but has a good outgoing appearance and nice personal skills. He does the cleaning himself INSTEAD of the hygenist - which was a new thing for me. I was happy with his outgoing demeanor and with his attitude. He really wanted to know me as a patient and that was a good thing. Not sure if he is expensive or not as it was all covered by insurance. I recommend him though to people who are looking for a down to earth and average guy type of dentist.
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Fctry
The Rocky Mountain Chocolate is a NEW icon in the Raleigh area. They make everything on site and ship nationally. They are the only candy store that I know of that also sells singing chocolate grams delivered in person by a real person! Their specialty are bananas and apples covered in chocolate and then rolled in nuts. What an orgasmic treat! The prices are expensive but the items are exceptionally good. This one gets a highly recommended!
Carolina Dive Ctr
If you are looking to learn to dive - then the Carolina Dive Center may be for you. The instructors are all ADS certified and are excellent at teachint the beginner how to dive! The pool is an indoor facility and is heated year round. It is kind of expensive - but it does beat going to the beach and having to learn there. They offer three levels of instruction: beginner; intermediate and advanced. They also offer a package deal for families. All equipment is included in the rental pacdkage - and you will nt feel rushed by any means.
2 Wizs Incorporated
Not to pick on the name - but the guys here truly are computer geeks - and that is meant as a TOTAL compliment. Had some recent computer issues so I took my computer in for a repair. The two guys are brothers - Jandkand Mack (I kid you not) and they almost identical. But they sure know how to talk to a machine! I had finally accepted the idea that I would NOT be able to salvage this computer and that I was going to have to buy another one. Fortunately - after Jack and Mack took a look at it - that was not the case. They did an excellent job getting the virus off of it and back in a flash and for onaly sixty bucks! To say the least - I was VERY happy. Highly recommend these two guys.
Topline Cellular
With the plethora of celular services out there - people may be asking themselves - what is the BEST way to get a celluler plan. I would recommend that you spoeak with the folks at Topline Cellular if you have these types of questions. Their goal is to provide you excellent service by hooking you up with a plan that meets your needs and not one that gives you a ton more services then you actually need. Jon is the manager and he and his staff go the extra mile. Definitely Very good is my recommendation.
Coastal Federal Credit Union
WHen you got something good - you should stick with it! I've been an associate of the Coastal Federal Credit Union for the last ten years. The customer service at the Saint Albans branch is amazing! Whether you're going to a teller, through the drive-through, using the ATM, applying for home or equity loan - you will always receive some good service.. They are ALWAYS prompt, efficient, and courteous. They offer very good rates. And they have some great incentives, too. Highly recommended for thos of you who long for a bank of days gone by!
Sharon Luggage & Gifts
Sharon Luggage has one of the best selections of luggage in the area. The store is very clean and well stocked. Selection is truly second to none. The staff is very knowledgeable as well; but in my honest opinion, I truly believe that the stock is all over priced. To me it appears you are paying more than you need to. But with that said they have a loyal foloowing and are ALWAYS busy it seems.
