I go to the American Hero Restaurant all the time where I live but today I needed to take my mom to the doctors so she wanted to take me and my hubby to lunch. It was real nice and clean but it was noon and I wondered why the place had hardly any customers. So we ordered. WELL the food was horrible; the hambers were so dry the were all shrunk up and mom had a bacon burger the bacon was gummy and it came out with the first bite not cruncy like bacon should be cause it was not even done. The chili was like soup with floating meat, no beans no anything.I could not belive it was this bad. My plans are not to return anytime soon.
Razzle Dazzle truly has great selection of brand name clothing for woman and men. Unfortunately though - prices are a bit high but thats what you can expect for the high value, fancy work shirt style clothing at this store - and that can be a real downer for many consumers. The syle is great for work or play, and everyone can enjoy the casual fashions of this boutique..
So - what can I say. Varsity Mens Wear of Raleigh IS the nicest mesn store in all of the capital city. But with it comes very high prices. The idea of going into a store with just a few items of clothing in the store; sitting down for tea and crumpets; and telling them what you are looking for is a totally new concept for me. In fact it is very foreign - but it appears to work for many. I felt a little out of place ant he clerks seemed a bit pushy. I ended up not buying anything - but the quality is the best. Be ready for a bit of attitude when you shop there.
Wordplay is a wonderful place to get lost. They have a wonderful supply of writing and presentaton materials for whoch you can always find the right item to assist you with. The focus of their busy is to Write Right! And in this day and age that is VERY important. People are judged not only by appearance but also by their verbal ability and skills. They assist you in preparation fo any type of presentation and will critique you in an open and honest fashion. I truly believe that Belinda and her staff saved me my job.
Outdoor Images of Raleigh has recently changed hands is under new management. My neighbor used them as he wanted to place a trellaced area in his yard. The company members were for the most part on time and did a nice job with the project. They did seem to take EXTRA LONG breaks for lunch. The workers also were not the most conscious about cleanliness. They left a lot of mud on the deck, sidewalk - and even in the pool. Under proper surpevision, I do elieve that they could have done a better job.
Lee's Shoes and Repairs is a Raleigh icon and has been for years! I had a pair of leather sole shoes that (over time) were completely worn out. I took them in to Mr. Lee and his staff and they matched the color and size exactly. In addition, they did an excellent job replacing the soles. They are very reasonably priced also. I would recommend this place to anyone - on ANY budget.
Cutler and Company offer GREAT haircuts at affordable prices. They specialize in cutting men's hair and do an excellent job. They are located on Barrett Drive across from the North Hills Mall. Parking is ample and FREE. There are several stylists there. They work by both appointemtnand walkin. Shampoo is included with all cuts and theyr give a great scalp massage. They also offer specialized Men's services such as manicures and Turkish Hot Towel Shaves. Although you can not smoke in the shop, they do sell a nce selection of cigars.
I can not say a lot of good things about lawyers - but I can definitely tell you that the Law Office of Vickie Miller is one of the best. She specializes in representing in abused wome's claims. She was very helpful to a coworker which was having issues with her ex. Vickie championed my friend's case and was able to provide her with the items that she need to get away from the spouse. Her charges were very reasonable too considering the amount of time she spent on the case. Based on my friend's experience, I would recommend her without any reservation.
I had a friend who recently went through the bankrutpcy process. In resolving her claim, she told me that the lawyer was quite efficient - but his assistant was not. The assistant never got back with her as promised on certain items - which she found to be rather frustrating. When she would speak to the lawyer - the lawyer was unaware tha the were any issues - so it made him a bit uncomfortable. But I guess as it goes with anything - it is improtant to know what is going on and where process breaks down. She also mentioned that there was not ample parking in the facility - which with a small child, was quite a problem.
Do you ever long for the days gone by when the pharmacist knew you and your family by name! Then the Center Village Pharmacy is the place for you! The store, which recently opened, is owned locally by a young pharmacist. His emphasis is on the patient and NOT necessariy the profit - what a great concept. Mark recognizes people by face and name and has a sincere desire to assist them in their daily routines. He offers free blood pressure screenings as well. What a great guy and a good pharmacy. Make this the place for your prescriptions.
