Golden Scissors
The Golden Scissors hairstylists are a top notch place to get your haircut right in town! With their very inviting and stylish salon, you can get anything that you want, a dye job, a perm, or even just a simple trim. The best part is that they are also very good with kids, you get to know the stylists personally and they are great people. The prices are in line with other stylists in the area, but I like Golden Scissors because you just get that local feel that you cant feel anywhere else.
Doolittle Homes Inc
The Doolittle Home is not a construction company as listed on this site. It is actually a nursing home. The Doolittle home has been serving Foxboro since the time of George Washington and is a very good place for the elderly. The staff is great and really takes care of the elderly folks they have in their care. They organize events and games and make the patients feel like they have a bond with the community. The building itself if very nice and overlooks the town library as well as the common. Overall highly reccomended.
Mordini Brothers Construction
The Mordini Brothers Real Estate agency has been a mainstay in Norfolk County for a long time and deservedly so. They will help you find exactly what you are looking for and are very helpful and fair when helping you evaluate and pick out a new home. They aren't pushy like other agencies tend to be and they really do have the best interest of the customer at hand. Since the agency is run by local brothers, you also have that hometown feel when dealing with them. Highly recommended.
Ficco's Bowladrome
Ficcos bowladrome is a fabulous place to go for a quick game or to hold your leagues games. They have bumper bowling, candlepin and even disco glow bowling for those retro people out there. The prices are very reasonable and there are a wide variety of lanes, the service is always top notch and their food isnt to bad either. I reccomend checking out the glow bowling on friday nights. Its a really fun time and well worth the price.
Dream Machine Incorporated
The dream machine is a premier video gaming arcade. Not only do they have the best arcade games around, they also have some of the best prizes around. You can even play some online PC games in their arcade. The service is great and is usually high school kids, they are very helpful if something goes wrong with a game. You get tickets and are able to trade them in from prizes ranging from pencils to stereos, all in all its a great place to spend a few hours with yourself or with your kids.
Stone-E-Lea Golf Course Inc
Stone E Lea Golf course in Attleboro is right next to the Joe and Leighs golf shop. The Stone E Lea course itself is a pretty good local course. It is not extravagant, it is your run of the mill local course. It is very well maintained and offers a few challenging holes. The experienced golfer will probably be able to play Stone E Lea with ease. However, it is a good place to go to play a quick round after work or on the weekend. The price for a round isnt too bad and if you do choose to walk the course it makes for a very nice day out.
Joe & Leigh's Discount Golf
Joe and Leighs pro shop is probably the best place in the area to go if you are looking for some golf equipment. They have it all and have an excellent staff that is very knowledgeable and can help you make a selection and even custom fit you to a set of clubs. They have pretty much any type of club you want as well as a good selection of used clubs as well. They have golf shoes, balls, bags and anything else you could imagine involving golf. The prices are pretty a little pricey but they are on par with what you would pay almost anywhere else.
Airport Golf Driving Range
The Airport Driving Range is a great place to go for a day of sports. They feature a great driving range and pretty good prices for a big bucket of balls. You can then go and use their batting cages which range from slow softball to fast pitch baseball. Perhaps the best part of Airport Driving Range is their challenging mini golf course. Mini golf is always fun and Airport offers a unique and challenging mini course that is always fun to play and play again.
Willowdale Golf Course
Willowdale golf course in Mansfield is a simple 9 hole course that is ideal for the beginning golfer to get a taste of how to play the game on a place other than the driving range. More experienced players would have little use for willowdale because of its ease. If you are trying to learn the game of golf or trying to teach someone this would be a great place to do so. A round wont cost you that much and you wont have to worry about tying up the course because of slow play.
Norfolk Barbershop
The norfolk barbershop is a great local place to get a haircut. The prices are pretty good compared to what a lot of local hair places are charging. You can go in and see all the local guys getting their hair cut and have some pretty good conversation as well. The barbers are always friendly and do a great job. If you are looking to get your haircut locally and not spend too much and also have a good time while your at it. Norfolk Barbershop is highly reccomended.
