A little small but they have good prices that pretty much beat any photography place in town. Helpful staff that really know their stuff. Conveniently downtown.
PROS: Prices, services
Buy your books here, their prices are right on par with the Cal Poly bookstore but without the crazy lines. Everything is set up just like the campus bookstore so it's easy to find anything and you don't have to worry about waiting in line for like a hour.
PROS: price, no large lines
CONS: bout a 5 minute drive from campus
Rumor around town is that Brad Pitt once ate here. The sandwiches are good, but kind of expensive. Everybody buzzes about their sandwiches and chances are you won't be disappointed. But in a town FILLED with great sandwich joints, this isn't really the end all be all of sandwich places.
CONS: small, don't expect to eat there
Open really really late. Nice place to chill after a long night of partying. Seeing as how everything in San Luis Obispo basically closes at 9pm (lame huh?) this is a nice refreshment being open so late. Oh yeah, their food is good...
PROS: Open late, lots to choose
CONS: Combos are kind of expensive for Mexican food, stick to burritos
If you gotta eat Chinese food in San Luis Obispo, then you should go here. Their food is okay; however, authentic Chinese food diehards should avoid any type of Chinese food in San Luis Obispo. Sorry, it's the sad truth.
PROS: Best Chinese Restaurant in San Luis Obispo
CONS: That's not saying much...
Checked out their shop in San Luis Obispo. Tryed to have a conversation with them and was blown away by their cockiness and ignorance. They are totally unprofessional and I don't recommend anybody going there. Go to a larger chain store for better service/prices.
Incredible Clam Chowder, be sure to check it out. Their other food is also pretty good and for a time they even offered fried twinkies. Yum. Usually I just order the Chowder and go elsewhere for the main meal since their prices are a bit high.
CONS: Everything else
Nice portions, good casual atmosphere. Right next to Cal Poly University. Price is kind of high...honestly pretty much on par with Red Lobster, if not a little below..nothing special here
PROS: location, bar
Perfectly capturing the laid back aura of the Central Coast is Sylvesters. They have an incredible selection of inventive burgers that just boggle your mind their so good. These are REAL burgers baby, if you order a Mushroom burger you get a burger LOADED with sauteed mushrooms..order the California burger and they totally stuff it with Avacado.
PROS: Low prices, Quality/Quantity ingredients, BURGERS, service
CONS: Kind of far(15 minutes) from San Luis Obispo
If you have friends in and around San Luis Obispo, chances are they told you to go to Firestone Grill. They have an incredible selection of fantastic foods which is highlighted with their world class tri-tip sandwich. If you go there you must try it because it is nothing less than a taste of heaven.
PROS: Casual Atmosphere, Big TV for sports, Tri-tip Sandwich, Cobb Steak Salad
CONS: Long lines during peak hours
