2 Tons of Fun Entertainment

Even if you don't sing, this has got to be the best karoake show in Vegas. Larry, aka 2 tons, always makes sure everyone has a good time, and encourages everyone to participate. As he says, you don't have to be a star, we're just here to have fun. There's never any jeering or booing, no matter how awful a person's voice, and he has quite a large following of very good quality singers. They perform 5 nights a week at various bars and they also do private shows, weddings, parties, you name it. When I was looking for a home, I had very specific requirements. I was also on a very limited time schedule due to my lease expiring. Mike was very professional, but also very friendly and personable. He spent hours driving me around Vegas looking at homes. He never showed me a single home that didn't match my requirements. He even pushed the mortgage company to close escrow to meet my schedule. Thanks Mike!

This past year I needed a pro to do my taxes because I had several tax related issues that I simply did not know how to deal with. I was referred to McNair & Associates through a business aquaintance. Sharon was able to answer all of my questions and was very knowledgable about tax laws and their applications. She was also able to have one of her staff help my office manager set up Quick Books for my business accounts. I would highly recommend McNair & Associates to anyone needing tax related services.

Lake View Animal Hospital

When I moved to LV, I needed to find a vet for my dog because he was due for his shots. I chose this clinic because it is closest to my home, but it turned out to be a great thing. The staff was SO helpful! They needed my dog's medical records to see what he needed. I couldn't remember the name of my old vet, so they went on-line and looked it up based on nothing more than the name of the town I used to live in, contacted the office and arranged to have his records faxed. I had an appointment that same afternoon and the vet was very kind and gentle with my dog. I am sad now that I am moving again and will have to find a new vet. I would recommend the Lake View Animal Hospital to anyone!

Cold Stone Creamery

This place beats Dairy Queen, Carvels, Ben & Jerry's and Baskin Robbins hands down! LOVE their Banana Caramel Crunch! They have flavors and mixtures you can't get anywhere else. True, you might have to wait in line for a while during their busy times, but the ice cream is well worth any wait! The staff is always courteous and helpful, the store is always clean, and, while the prices are higher than buying a gallon in Vons, the quality can't be beat.

PROS: Best ice cream in the world
CONS: Waiting in line for 20+ minutes

Desert Bmw Of Las Vegas

I took my '01 Z3 in because a dash light was on and the manual wasn't telling me anything but to take it to a 'qualified repair facility for diagnosis'. Very helpful, huh? I dropped in on my way to work to make an appointment and they put my car on the diagnostic machine right then and there. Informed me exactly what the problem was, answered all of my questions and didn't charge me a dime! Staff was very helpful and courteous and didn't treat me like I couldn't possibly know anything about cars simply because I am a woman. Very refreshing!

Agaci Too

Love this store! Great clothes! Inexpensive, but not 'cheap'. Good quality clothing in sizes 'real women' can wear. This is not a 'plus sized' store, but you don't have to be a size 4 either! Great place to get club clothing and work clothing at reasonable prices. Their changing rooms leave a little to be desired, with their curtain closures, but at least they're individual rooms instead of a common room like some stores have.

Salon

This full service salon is the best I've found in Vegas. You can have everything from hair cut/color to waxing done in one stop without spending the $400-500 most full service salons will cost you. All staff is very friendly and professional, with excellent training in their specialities. My stylist, Eduardo, always makes me feel special by remembering and asking about the small things like children, work, vacation, etc. No waiting hours for your turn because scheduling is done by each member of the staff for themselves rather than a receptionist that has no real idea of how long something takes. Try it, you'll love it!

Pink Taco

First of all, have to say, I LOVE the Pink Taco! It's like a night club, but on a smaller scale, not so much of the typical night club 'meat market' scene. The karoake show, provided by 2 Tons of Fun Entertainment, is a blast and you don't have to be a great singer to participate. They encourage everyone to just have fun and never allow rudeness or booing of singers. Pink Taco staff, including security personnel, are all very friendly. Try it out!

CONS: Gets very crowded and seating is minimal
