The YMCA offers fun for the whole family. They have exercise equipment, and indoor pool, basketball, indoor track and they offer many classes too. If you're a beginner like me they also provide you with a trainer to show you the ropes. This summer they are adding an outdoor pool! We have a family membership and we love it!
Circle S is a great place where fun and family go hand in hand. During the Halloween season they offer hayrides and let the kids pick their own pumpkins. They also have a corn maze and other activities for kids of all ages. They have food and drinks, including hot chocolate and apple cider. Be sure to dress warm and take your camera along!
This is a great place to buy large quantities of meat, their variety and selection is unlike any other place in town. We usually go and stock up for weeks at a time. They offer a variety of beef, poultry, pork, deli meats, cheeses and some grocery items. They also have party trays available. They get very busy on the weekends so I recommend going during the week or very early on Saturday, they are closed on Sundays.
We went to their Spring sale and were pleased to find their mature tree selection was $50 off of the regular price. By goin during the early bird sale we were able to save big $$ on a new tree for our landscape. It came with a 1 yr. warranty (replacement), well the tree died so we took it back, (flowering dogwood) they told us these were hard to grow in our area and suggested a red cherrychoker tree. We were glad they were offering to replace it at no cost but surprised to find out that they would no longer honor the guarantee for the new tree. I guess if it was the same type of tree I might understand but I totally disagree with this policy. In the future, I will shop for this type of item at Lowe's where they will guarantee even a second tree if it dies!
My husband has been a patient of Dr. Dixson's for the past couple of years. He likes them because they are friendly and honest and seem to keep him up to date on the latest procedures covered by our insurance company. They are really good about checking with our insurance before scheduling any procedures/services. He's referred many of his co-workers who are new to the area and eveyone has been pleased with the dentist and his staff.
Chemlawn has been treating our lawn for the past three years. Overall I'd have to say we are pretty disappointed with the condition of our lawn. We still have the ocassional brown spots and weed patches, although I'm sure it is better than what it would be without their services. I expect a lush green lawn and we have yet to see that. Next year we are going to try it on our own, for the $ we spend on Chemlawn, maybe we can produce better results! We have brougt this to their attention and they will come out and spot check the lawn, but it doesn't seem to improve.
We closed on our first home loan with Chicago Title and the service we received was excellent. They were able to schedule our closing in a timely manner and the entire staff was professional. The attention to detail was key in closing on time and they took care of everything as promised. I would recommend them to anyone for their closing/title needs.
Buyer Beware! This company has a bad reputation of allowing buyers to borrow more than they can afford! They offer a 2-1 buydown and don't seem to care that homeowners can't afford these increasing payments, much less the increasing property taxes (the property tax estimate is based solely on the lot itself). I can remember the high pressure that we received when working with this builder, we were smart and walked away but many are not so lucky! If you don't beleive me, take notice of all of their foreclosed properties in these new neighborhoods.
My husband recently won tickets to a show at this venue. They offered free parking at the OSU parking garage across the street and it was within walking distance to the venue. We waited in line for a few minutes, after being admitted we were asked if we would be purchasing alcoholic beverages and we responded yes. We were then given bracelets after they viewed our identification. I found it annoying that when we ordered drinks (every single time) from the bar (way overpriced in my opinion) we were carded. Why wear the bracelets in the first place? This place was not what I had expected!
We were at the Columbus Zoo to view the baby elephant that they had on display, the kids loved it! They currently have several areas under construction making it hard to view many of the animals. We were there on a Saturday and it was too crowded, making it impossible to see all of their exhibits. I would recommend going during the week or during the early hours on the weekend. We plan to return during their Winter Wonderlight display during the holiday season.
