Went to Woddbine Inn..figured it was always packed as I passed by. Well the food was mediocre at best. The staff were all friendly and I think this place is even family owned, however not impressed with the food at all. The crab dip was worst I've ever eaten and everything else was just okay. Beer is cold; lots of tvs and nice atmosphere...so just stick to the beer.
Just moved to Sykesville and realized there are no good local places for happy hour or just stopping by to watch the game and srink beers. E W Becks is the only place around and has a limited bar at that...it's a nice atmosphere, and love that is now smoke free. The menu offers great selection of bar grub and meals. check the mailers, I've seen coupons every week...
Voted the best school on the East Coast!! As an honors college, they offer a wide variety of majors and disciplines. The school is a state school, but feels like a private institution which makes this school an affordable choice. They have a world class sailing team, man former Olympians and a the campus looks like a 5-star resort. Looking for a smaller school where you can make lasting friendships and get a superior education...than St Mary's is the only place to be!!!
My father had accidentally left his favorite hat on an airplane and was so upset. So on a recent trip to Washington DC area I found the Hattery Of Georgetown. They had an amazing selection of great hats (mostly for men only). I found one that was similar and bought it. The salesman was so helpful. I described what I was looking for and he found a few for me to choose from. My dad was so very happy!
Wow what an original concept, the International Spy Museum was pretty cool idea on our recent day trip to DC. They had some really cool interactive displays. The admissions price was rather steep, $15/person. My niece and nephew really enjoyed themselves, they participated in the scavenger hunt game. I've also heard they have kids spy camps that sound pretty cool if you live in the area.
The Little Havana Restaurante y Cantina is a great place to have a drink outside on the water. We love to stop by before Orioles games since their prices are much cheaper than the stadium and we can take cab to/from. They offer a unique view of the Inner Harbor. The outdoor deck is great on summer evenings and they offer 2 for 1 happy hour drink deals.
Whenever friends come into town I like to take them downtown and always go to Bay Cafe for dinner on the water. They have great 2 for 1 Happy hours and Sunday Jamaica Me Crazy parties are a blast. It gets pretty crowded for those parties, but it is a really cool atmosphere. I love to be outside among the palm trees...makes me feel as if I'm in the islands...
If you are a serious runner than you need to stop by the Charm City Run. They sell all kinds of athletic gear including Under Armour apparel. The staff are all athletic and can help determine what type of shoe would work best for you. These are the guys to call if you are looking for a marathon to enter also, they know about everything.
When we wanted to have our built in pool put in, we naturally called Maryland Pools and were very pleased. They arrived when they said they would, came with great ideas and plans. We happily picked them to install our pool and pool house. We even got the same pool style that Cal Ripken Jr. has in his backyard, how cool is that?
If you are chartering a boat to go marlin fishing in Ocean City, than you need to go to the Ake Marine center. They carry all the essentials, including live bait.
