if you're an ice cream fan, you have to stop by Scoops Ice Cream and Candy Store. Their ice cream is out of this world, very very creamy and not watery like other stores. the flavor is rich and satisfying. definitely check out the vanilla or chocolate chip, or rocky road flavor ice cream, once you have tasted them, you will understand why they are so irresistable and you will find yourself craving for them!
G & S Surf Boards
dudes, if you guys wanna conquer the toughest waves in San Diego, you have to get a board from G & S Surf Boards!! Their custom made boards will make you ride like a pro! Definitely check out their shortboard and semi-Gun series, their tri-fin design allows surfers glide on the waves as easy as riding your bike on the street. the boards do not come cheap, so be prepared to spend a few bucks.
Cowboy Surf Shop
one of the few surf shops around half moon bay, the shop is always packed with local surfs who want to ride the half moon bay waves. the down side is that the shop is still miles away from spots where you can catch some nice breaking swells. they have decent selections of surfboards and wetsuits, but not a whole lot and most of the wetsuits are very expensive, i was shocked by the price of their Rip Curl wetsuits.
Sonlight Surfshop
the shop owners are a married couple, they were very helpful when i was trying to buy my wetsuit. the owners not only explained to me the difference between different models, like rip curl slick skin, or rip curl fire skin or rip curl elasto 2. the shop is packed with surfers and lotsa lotsa wetsuit and surfboards, so if you are in need of some wetsuit or surfboard advise, be sure to stop by Sonlight Surfshop.
Mansion Grove Apartments
worst leasing service that i have ever encountered in my life. the leasing agent was so irresponsible, and she kept us waiting and waiting, did not even bother to greet us when we first walked in. when we finally decided to close the deal then she finally showed her smile and congradulate us. never had i expeirienced such rude and unacceptable service from such high class housing community.
Skips Tire & Auto Ctr La
Friend's tire blew up in the middle of the road, we brought the car to Los Altos Tire Service, they were very helpful, they showed us their selection of tires and broke down the advantages and disadvantages of different brands and models, when we finally picked one they quickly changed the tire and send us on the road ASAP. Definitely go there if you need to get some new tires for your car.

very very nice owner! if you have question or you need aisstance on hardware questions, stop by his shop and he will have all the answers and help that you need! plus he maintains his hardware supplies at honest price, not like other shops that rip off customers. Broadway hardware shop is the perfect local hardware shop.
Jml Auto Repair
my car needed some tire patch work, i had the tow-truck towed my car to JML Auto Repair shop to fix it. they were able to patch up my tire in about 30 minutes, which is considered fast than typical auto repair shops. they only charged me $20 for the work too, which is relatively cheap, plus they offerred to check my other tires, which was out of good deeds from their part.
Mission Bay Aquatic Ctr
took my surfing lesson there. great instructors and very friendly service. for a reasonable price, you get surfing equipment rental and informative surfing lectures and hands-on surfing activity! the intructors take good care of you, they make sure you enjoy the surfing lesson as much as possible. so if you are in San Diego and you want to learn how to surf, look no further, drive up to Mission Bay Aquatic Center, the beach is merely a 2 min walk, i guarantee you will enjoy the fun!
