English Gardens Florist
They carry hanging flowers for your porch. You can get flats of flowers or veggies.Everything for the gardener in your life.
They carry trees too.
At Christmas they carry trees and grave blankets.
PROS: All your plants in one place
CONS: If they have seeds I missed them.
A Zakoor Novelity Company
This place is huge. They have jokes and magic tricks. They care helium balloons. Everything you could need for any kind of party.
I know someone who works childrens parties as a clown/ magician and he goes out of his way to go here.
PROS: Everything you need for your party.
CONS: Is in a pretty bad neighborhood.
Patton Park Laundromat
This is just a small laundrymat. No extras , Just a few machines, No Tv for the kids to watch while you are washing the clothes,No candy machines .
Just the basics. They have a bill changing machine but it didn`t work while I was there.
PROS: Enough machines because its not crowed
CONS: Nothing for anyone to do but watch the clothes wash.
Baker Bible & Book Store
This store isn`t really that big but it cares a lot of family oriented books and toys.
It carries religious toys also . There are Veggie tales and Noah's ark pillow just to name a few.
PROS: Great place to find relious toys you can`t find elsewhere
CONS: That is about all they carry. relious things
Doll Hospital & Toy Soldier Shop
This is an old fashion and yet modern toy store, They will repair your childs /or your old well loved doll. Be it a new wig or replace a leg.
They also sell plenty of toys. Some I never saw anywhere else,
PROS: Fixes old dolls
CONS: nothing
Henry Ford Centennial Library
I was looking for a book and was told they had it when my libary didn`t
I went over there and they had my book . I was impressed by the beauty of this place,The only trouble was I would have to pay them a yearly fee to take out books. I wouldn`t come that often so it wouldn`t have been worth it for me.
But it is a great library
PROS: lots of books and toys you can take out.
CONS: If you don`t live there you have to pay.
Southgate Computers
I went here when I needed more memory for my computer. I wrote down everything I saw written on the computer so I wouldn`t have to carry it in.
He told me to bring it in anyway.Then he laughed. I told him it was a old computer but I got a message saying " You need more memory"
He tried to sell me everything but memory.
I explained that the computer was working fine, He didn`t agree. He never even plugged it in, But told me I needed all these parts that would run about $400.
The workers were too busy talking to each other to even talk to me when I came in.
PROS: nothing
CONS: Rude and tries to make you buy what you do not need.
Lincoln Park Veterinary Hosp
I took my dog to have his nails clipped while out of town. I stopped at the Lincoln park Vet and said " I just want his nails clipped. But he snaps if I try. Maybe you might have to muzzle him."
He is a good dog but snaps if you touch his feet. He also hates muzzles. I told the Vet I will hold his neck and he could mizzzle him from behind."
The dog weighs 10 pounds.
The vet said " I will stand in the hall and you muzzle him."
I said " ThHAT is why I am bringing him to a vet,I can`t get a muzzle on him.I could cut the nails myself."
He said " I will give you pills and you don`t feed him torrow and bring him back at 2 pm tomorrow."
I called my vet who said " DON~T GIVE THOSE PILLS TO HIM."
He said they don`t knock him out all time. Most dogs it makes mean for a day.."
I took my dog to my Vet when I went home a few days later and HE cut the nails.
I thought Vet are suppose to be able to handle dificult animals.
PROS: They seemed to care for the other patients
CONS: Can`t cut nails if the dog is snappy.
Eliott Dean MD
My father went here when he had a blood vessel burst in his eye.He said if he had any other eye problems he would go back again. He has told other people to go here.
A few days after he was surgery he had horrible pain. He called the hospital and told them he can`t stand it.
They called the doctor on his day off and took him the next day,
My father had air in his eye and the doctor got angry that he wasn`t called the day before. He relieved the pressure and my father was very happy that the doctor was so caring.
PROS: Doctor came as soon as he was called.
CONS: The staff didn`t call him right away.
MacS Veterinary Clinic
I called around and found this to be the most reasonable priced cat spay. The staff is nice and great with pets .Even when a cat scratched him he said " Poor little kitty. He is just scared."
I do not like that they wouldn`t fix cats till they were 6 months old. By that time I could of had a litter of kittens.They go in heat by 5 months.
PROS: reasonable priced. Kind Vet
CONS: Waits too long to fix cats.
