Kisling's always has great food specials. I love to go get soup or chili in the winter especially...always fresh & delicious. At least one different soup is available other than what is listed on the menu. Quick service!
They offer an array of gourmet fods, but tend to be very expensive. The bakery is very good. There's no freezer/refrigerated section, so don't go looking for the pre-packaged chicken breasts...you need to order from meat counter which makes them quite a bit more.
The food is good, but don't expect anything spectacular. I ordered the filet and it was served with french fries? I figured they'd be fancy cut potatoes but they were no different than you get at any fast food restaurant. Don't go for a quiet romantic dinner...this is by far the loudest restaurant I've been to.
Cranbrook Liquors has the best selection for wines around...their employees offer great advice for wine selections. Only twice a year they drops all of their prices to one dollar over cost...this is the best time to stock up!!
The crackpot has the biggest crab cake I've ever seen...and it wasn't just filler. I've had the steamed crabs here too. They were a bit pricey but heavy crabs and very well seasoned.
The city and state really have been working hard to improve this zoo. The attractions are nice and offer a better setting for the animals. It's great to be a member and bring the kids by regularly. Closer than the National Zoo.
PROS: Free parking
This is by far the best aquarium I've ever been to. There are so man exhibits and shows, you can spend the whole day here. There are interractive games for children. You can support them and buy an annual pass and bypass the lines!!
Don't drive by the Yabba Pot on St Paul...it may not look like much, but it offers really good vegan and vegitarian foods. The place is somewhat small, but it's good for a quick bite to eat.
The Ottobar is one of the only places to see live music in Baltimore. I've seen some The Kelly Bell Band and other local bands here. The acoustics are great.
Tio Pepe's is by far the most romantic restaurant in Baltimore...the restaurant is in a basement and has small alcoves that can be very romantic. The food is excellent and the service is the best. Make reservations because it's hard to get into especially on the weekends...but don't miss out...you must go.
