Belfort furniture has some of the nicest quality furniture selections in the area. They have a basics gallery, the original gallery and another more contemporary gallery. The delivery is usually quick given that all the upholstered furniture usually has to be ordered. The customer service goes hot and cold. Sometimes they are on top of the orders and any complaints and other times they are fairly delinquent. However, the selection and quality is the best I've found in the area.
Heritage winery is a unique wine cellar that produces dozens of wines and ports. The range of wine types is staggering and inside the cellar all of the types are lined up on a bar. It is self serve and you can try any and all that you like. They offer discounts based on the number of bottles you purchase. They also have other gifts such as wine stoppers and coasters in the cellar. Some notables are the ice wines and the flagship port.
Bear Creek, formerly Doe Mountain, is a convenient ski area to souteast Pennsylvania. The lodge is a reasonable size and the rentals are good. The trails are okay, but were not as challenging as I would like. This is a good place to learn to ski and to hone beginner and intermediate skills. The area has reasonable rates and is a good place to spend a night or a day.
This is a wonderful ski area with varied trails including something for each level. There is a high speed lift on one end of the mountain and a small snack area on another end of the mountain. They have an excellent ski school and very good instructors. Get to the lodge early if you want a seat because by lunch time they are all gone.
One of the larger banquet halls in the area that caters to multiple event types. The main room is very large and can handle hundreds of guests. The dance floor spans half the length of the hall and the bar has ample room for people. The food is good and the staff is wonderful. Recommended if you are looking for a nice banquet room in western PA or OH.
Large wine selection with many vintages and selections from countries around the world and multiple states. They also offer a fairly deent selection of beers. Several of their whites and champagnes can be found pre-chilled in a back refridgerator. On Fridays and Saturdays they have wine tastings near the front from four or five wineries. Convenient, friendly, good selection.
This was the best dentist I have been to in Maryland. The office staff is warm and friendly and they dentist is wonderful. Not only do you get a typical cleaning, x-rays, etc., but they check for abnormalities in mouth, tongue, cheeks, etc. They are very knowledgeable. The also run specials with teeth whitening and this a great dentist for a reasonable price.
I would not recommend this dentist at any time. I went here one time and the office staff was a bit slow to acknowledge my presence at the counter. That was the best part of the visit. Following, I had the worst dentist experience of my life. Several times the dentist jabbed and cut my gums and lips with the tools. Never again.
If you are interested in reasonably priced tires (actually, some of the best prices around from what I've seen) and quick, efficient service, Esseys is a one stop type of place. They are located on Rt 51 nearby the airport. They stock a wide range of tire brands and styles for all different cars. Their service is friendly and they can tell you whether tires are in stock and try to schedule quickly. Recommended.
For buying a Ford, my experience here was positive all around. They have very competitive pricing and their sales people were not pushy. They are able to get models in in a couple days and each of the people that I dealt with knew what they were talking about and never attempted to pull a fast deal on me. The service center here is top notch as well. Try this Ford dealership out and you won't be disappointed.
