I had the oppurtunity to visit Enchanted Gowns when my sister was looking for a wedding gown for her wedding last year. This is not a big store but they do have a lot of gowns on display and beautiful ones custom made. They had styles that were rare and unique. It was really fun to visit a place that sells wedding gowns and bridal items. It always brings excitement. The staff was great and very helpful with offering ideas and suggestions. I would suggest a visit here if your looking for wedding gowns.
When you need great prints fast and at a reasonable price then you have to come to Albany Photo in Berkeley. They have the friendliest and knowledgeable staff around. I take my digital files that are edited on my computer and match it up to they're lab printer's profile to get the correnct colors in sync. They do a great job with developing and the colors always comes out the way it looked on my home computer screen.
If you want some of the newest and hip hair styels around then you have to visit Yen Can Cut in Pinole. The name is a little cheesy and skeptical at first but they really can cut. The service and staff is great and keep you comofortable the whole time. The staff is well trained with the newest hair styles and they know how to work it in for you. I love the last cut I got here at Yen Can Cut.
I wanted to test the different salons here in my area and Hairitage Beauty Salon was one of them. The service you get here is great and friendly. The women really know how to please you verbally. I only had my hair trimmed here and I say they did a pretty good job. The salon was clean and well maintained by the staff. I would definitely come back here when I want to try a different look.
I'm not much of a gambler but California Grand has plenty of poker tables for all you players in the bay area. They have plenty of seats but beware, they get filled in the evenings. Sometimes you have to wait or sign in for a seat and wait to get called for availability. They also offer other games but I'm not familiar with them. The food is ok and would recommend that too.
Oaks Card Room in Emeryville is a good place to gamble. I don't play much but I do play a little bit of poker. It all started by watching those poker championships on ESPN. They get pretty intense and thats when the fun and the kill joy happens. Anything could happen in this game. This place is clean and pretty well maintained also. The bathrooms are clean and serviced too.
Casino San Pablo isn't stacked up to what it should be. I really thought this would be a nice casino in the East Bay but not when you get inside. This place would only please a real gambler. I don't gamble much so it really doesn't bother me and to think they were trying to expand this place. Good thing the board didnt pass that or all hell would break loose here. Freeway would be traffic and it would probably attract some of the worst crowds.
The Strybing Aroretum Society of Golden Gate Park is a great place to spend a few hours to relax and enjoy fresh air. This place is so decroative of different flowers and plants which makes this place so enchanting. Almost like your in a fairytale at times. The garden is well taken care of and they are healthy as can be. It's a very well kept and clean garden. You have to visit this place if your in San Francisco.
The Botanical Garden here in Berkeley is one of the best gardens in the East Bay. Not too many people know about this garden so it's not to busy here. It's huge and they have walk paths with beautiful assortment of flowers along the side. They also have grassy areas where you can sit or lay down and just relax. A great way to spend an afternoon with someone special.
The Pinole Vally High School Art Gallery has artistic items from students who attend the High School. It is very important to support our young children as they grow up and build they're eye towards other things in life artistically. The work they show are pretty good so don't expect to see some untalented work. Just because they are High School students doesn't mean they don't have talent. I personally love the B/W photos taken by the students.
