I hate to give this place only a 3-Star rating, but I don't want to mislead people. This place is not fancy - but it has character in a wierd way and is probably my favorite bowling experience. You should give it a shot if you want an old school experience - plus its not too expensive.
I have rented from this location several times. I have had pretty consistent service every time. I used to pick them because they were reasonable and as a plus did not penalize me for being under 25 (not an issue any more tho).
I would recommend Enterprise.... plus they will pick you up if you live in the area.
I really enjoyed buying my used Honda at Carey Paul - it was by far the bet experience I had at a dealer and I felt good buying from them. That being said, I have found their service department to be a mixed bag. They are always trying to get me to do "routine" service that is not listed in the manual and then they argue with me about who is right. I think they assume I wouldn't bother to check. They are pretty intense about this stuff --- I get e-mails telling me that my car is probably due for a "32550" mile service and the like. Its pretty crazy.
Ted's has the best burger's in atlanta, and the fries aren't bad either. They have great specialty burgers - like the skinny (advacado and cheese). Service can be great or terrible, it just depends, but even when it is questionable the food is always great and they will make it right with you.
I go to central city tavern every couple of weeks for lunch and often for special event lunches (ie birthdays) with my co-workers. The burgers are great and they have probably my favorite chicken tenders in town.
Try the chicken tender salad or if you prefer a non-meat alternative, my coworkers swear by the portabello mushroom burger.
I had walked by this location more times than I can count, but had not tried it until recently. The "smoothie" in the name discouraged me from trying it out - I assumed the food was an after thought. Now that I have tried it out, I am sorry that I missed out on earlier oportunities. If you want a solid sandwhich at a good price you can't miss this place. Plus they offer a discount to employees at the local hospitals - lunch for 2 for about 10 bucks.
I work nearby this location and can walk there -- which is a big plus. The food is pretty consistent and the service is fast. You can do call ahead take-out which is good if you can't afford to be gone from your desk to long. They have an outside area where you can eat as well. The value is so-so, maybe a little overpriced for what you get sometimes.
They are starting to have table service after 4:00 now, but I have yet to try it out.
New Covenant Community Church is an inter-denominational church located near the intersection of I-285 and I-85 on Chamblee-Tucker Road. The church is ethnically diverse and its members come from a variety of church backgrounds. It is a great place to visit, especially if you are looking for a "rubber meets" the road kinda of church where it is possible to connect to a community. Their is a focus in the church being a bridge within the community and the church and also on having unity in the midst of diversity.
For many years I have attended activities (and even taken a class) at Callanwolde. The facilities are pretty, and have an interesting history. If you ask some of the long term staff they can tell you some stories.
They offer a range of classes for all ages and areas. Try an acting class with Marty - You will love it.
Dr. Bircoll is a great orthopedic doctor. I have had a shoulder trouble and he has been great -- gives you options and will tell you what he thinks is best for you given the big picture, but he is never pushy and lets you decide.
He has also taken care of other members of my family, including helping my brother navigate acute knee surgery with only major medical insurance.
