Monnettes has a great variety of fresh fruits and veggies. They also have a good variety of meats, salad dressings, pasta, limited dairy section, and candies. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They are open year round but also carry seasonal items with beautiful flowers in the summer. The place is always packed yet the line moves quickly. There are bargains to be found there as well!
We took our car to Firestone Tire and Service center. We get a coupon and use it for oil changes. The service is good. They give you a big list of what work they should proform on your car. They do not put a lot of pressure on you so you do not feel uncomortable. It is at a good location and is very easy to find. You set an appointment and they stick to it.
The Garden At The Lighthouse is a wonderful dining experience. It is newly remodeled. The food is excellent and fairly priced. The owner mingles with the patrons but is very professional. It is a good idea to have reservations... especially in the summer. The location is on beautiful Lake Erie. It is in the heart of tourism for Ottawa County. It is worth our hour drive.
Dr. Todd Forrest is a great doctor. He is compassionate, kind, personable, and great with children. He works at a family practice. Appointments are close to the scheduled time. His office is very clean and neat. The staff keeps things well organized. The office is in a good location close to Toledo, Perrysburg, and Rossford.
We have camped at Middle Bass Campground several times. It is a good campground with okay bathrooms. We stayed here as a family but spent most of our time swimming and roaming the island. The island is a great place and the campground is safe. A fun place for kids and parents. The prices a reasonable and the quiant shops are fun too!
PROS: nice and safe
CONS: small and simple
Microtel Inn and Suites is an okay stay at a great price. We spent one night there in a single room. The room was non smoking but smelled like it had been a smoking room at one point. We could tell that they had done renovations and it did look nice. They do have a free continental breakfast but all they had was three bagels, a basket of mini muffins, and juice. No toppings or a toaster for the bagels. For the price we would stay there again.
PROS: great price
CONS: smoky, bad breakfast
My daughter needed a compressor and nebulizer treatment. We were given the equipment at the pediatricians office and they told us the Boardman Medical Supply would pick it up two months later. We called them and they looked up our account and said we had to drop it off ourselves. By the time I juggled my baby and this big box with all the equiptment in it into the store and waited in line 30 minutes, they told us it was ours to keep. They said the insurance company bought it for us. A couple weeks later we got a bill for $136.00. We paid it. But Boardman Medical Supply should have known that from the start.
PROS: good equipment
CONS: dissapointing service
I have been a patient at this practice for six years. My husband and I see different General practice physicians. We have been happy with the visits. The doctors have thourough and will refer to another doctor if need be. The wait is pretty long unless you go in for a sick visit. The ladies at the reception area are nice but it seems like things get unorganized back there. The waiting room is always packed since there are several doctors there. Overall, we have been happy with the doctors.
PROS: good doctors
CONS: moderate waiting period
I took my daughter to the City of Warren Health Department for her immunizations. We made three trips there. The shots are $5.00 for all of the shots she received in one visit. Great deal when we would've paid $100.00 on up at the doctors office. Each time we were the only patients there and it took over an hour to get in for the shots. It is hard to entertain a toddler for that long. They do have some toys but they are dirty so it's hard to distract her. For the price we will keep going back. To bad there is a long wait.
PROS: cheap immunizations
CONS: long wait
When my daughter went in for her 3 month healthy check up we were sent to Tod Children Hosital to have her screened and tested for heart problems. The nursing staff welcomed us and made us feel comfortable. They were very friendly to us and our baby. We were so nervous and unsure about what the outcome would be and they put us at ease knowing our baby girl was in good hands. The doctor was thourough and made the three of us laugh. He was so kind and explained everything to a T. The nurses were entertaining during the EKG as our baby was supposed to hold still. The visit was wonderful.
PROS: Peaceful, calming, thourough
