We first went to Ja-Mar over 33 years ago. They were doing honest business back then and still are today. They offer used and new appliances with a wide selection available. If you cannot afford new, try Ja-Mar's used department. They have the new HDTV"s, stereos, washer and dryers, stoves, microwaves and a whole lot more. They built a larger store and it is better than going to the name brands in larger cities. They work with you and have a great staff. Lots of parking and brands to choose from.
Kathy's does good work on your hair style needs. She has been in business over 30 years and continues her schooling to keep up with all the latest in hair and face happenings. She can color, cut or curl your hair as you would like and follows your directions. She is also great with kids haircuts. Her styles are modern and flattering to you. Her prices are comparable and she does great work. Her hours of operation are convient and if you need something after hours, you can schedule an appointment. Lots of parking, she takes walk-ins and appointments.
We have used the veterinary service of Fort Recovery on several occasions. They are very compassionate when you have an emergency with your animal and on call when livestock is sick. The do make house calls as you cannot put your 1500# steer in the car to go to the doc. They try to save your animal or help deliver the calf. The shots and exams are reasonable prices and you can get wormer for your small pets to administer at home. The staff is friendly and the fees are small.
Powell's auto sales is where I go when I need a heavy duty truck for work. He carries several different duties to choose from and can get something different if needed. He does his own repair work and stands behind the warranty. He is easy to find and has parking available for customers and a friendly staff. If you need to see something after hours, he will set up an appointment for your convience. He allows trade ins and works to make the sale.
I purchased a used van here several years ago and my son a small Ford. He is still driving his Ford and I sold my van for something newer. I liked the van and the salesman at Keen's and will go back for a used vehicle. They offer many kinds of cars with a variety of mileage. You can buy hi miles or lo miles, your choice. Their pricing is very affordable and will work with you on a trade in. They are easy to find on highway 571 and have lots of parking available. If they don't have what you want, they will find it for you.
If you have any need of auto body work repair, Nick is the guy to see. He offers free estimates and does superb work. He can get you in pretty quick and only uses name brand parts. Not some cheap after market stuff you can get from others. I have seen him do some repair and paint match that I didn't think could be done. He has been in business many years and will do you right. His prices are very comparable for the area.
We sent our daughters to Barbara Rethlakes school of dance and was very pleased with the results. Barbara hires professonal teachers to work with the students. Our girls really enjoyed taking classes there. They learned tap and ballet and went on to win awards at dance competitions. Her charges were very reasonable for the area and schedules were ones we could meet. She became so large she had to change buildings to accomadate her students and teachers. I would highly reccommend Barbara for all your dance needs.
I have used the services of Linda Stemmer several times in the past. I have never actually met her face to face but in fact have counseled with her over the phone. I had a problem one time, called her and asked if we could counsel over the phone for a fee and she said yes. She has helped solve problems and didn't charge me much. There was even a couple of times she didn't charge me at all. I do know of cases she has served on and is a real go getter for her client. She knows the law, upholds it and does a good job. I would highly reccommend Linda Stemmer to anyone.
Panera Bread in my opinion is the best thing next to homemade soup and breads. Their creamy chicken and wild rice soup is to die for. It is wonderful on a cold day with the italian bread to dip into the soup and a hot latte'. Their cinamon bagels are the best. They offer many varieties of bagels, rolls, breads, soups and sandwiches. They have hot and cold drinks and a place to hook up your computer if you need to do business while eating. The lines are not to long if you go at a busy time as they serve you as fast as they can. Even tho it is fast food, it doens't taste like fast food. I like the half sandwich and cup of soup combo. I'm getting hungry!
Grace Christian Book Store in Troy is a smaller version of the one in Piqua but still they have everything imaginable a Christian would want to find. Bullentins for any occasion, Bibles, engraving, cards, jewlery, books, music, stuff for kids, devotionals, CD's, tapes, gift items, stationary, glassware, games, awards, plaques, wrapping paper, seasonal items and so much more. The staff is friendly, helpful and show they really care about you as the customer. They can order items needed and deliver what they say they will. The hours are very great and they are not open on Sunday.
