I enjoyed the place overall, but felt a little strange about how cleanly the place was. Overall on ok experience. I'd go back for the cheap beer.

Afloat Sushi

This was a great Japanese restaurant experience. My husband and I really enjoyed it. We're going again tonight and I'll let you know if it's just as good!

I walk by this restaurant everyday and always thought it looked really cute. We ate there with some friends last night and I was very disappointed. The food was ok, nothing spectacular and overpriced. What really ticked me off was that they charged us an automatic 20% gratuity for a party of 6. The service was nothing spectacular and did not warrant a 20% tip, but for some reason they did not leave this up to us. This automatic tipping is a method for waitresses to get away with not doing their job, but still receive their tip. We were forced into a $30 tip for average service. Possibly a group of 8 or 10 might warrant an automatic 18% tip, but NEVER a small party of 6. We didn't order appetizers, dessert or coffee. What was the 20% for?? If a waitress has two tables, one of 6 and one of 2, why would she give good service to the table of 6 if she/he is guaranteed a 20% tip from the table of 6? I do not recommend this restaurant unless you enjoy being forced into a tip when undeserved.

I was a waitress for years and find this practice to be unfair and goes against the point of tipping.

Chu Johnston DDS

This was the first dentist experience that didn't leave me tramatized. The place was well kept. I wasn't made to wait long and the cleaning didn't hurt like it normally does. It may have helped that I didn't have a cavity, but even if I did I think I would have left satisfied.

Signature Nails & Spa

I always have a good experience here. They do a great job and offer fair prices. I never leave disappointed. It is always a peaceful experience. I will return here many times.

Electric Tan

This is a great place in La Verne to tan. It is cheap and does not require a monthly membership like other tanning places. The staff is friendly and helpful and the place is always clean.

Koi Loungewear

I liked a lot of the clothes, but unless you've got lots of cash to spend don't go in. It was just rather frusterating. I guess it fits in with South Pasadena's other overpriced stores though.

Bear Frame & Wheel

A bolt on our tire broke while we were changing a flat at 4:15 on Friday. Walmart refused to put a new tire on until this bolt was fixed and referred us to Bear Frame and Wheel. We called them at 4:45 and they said not a problem. We took our car in and 20 minutes later (and $15) we had the tire fixed. I'd go back in a minute.

Pro Beauty of S Pasadena

This store is huge and so fun to shop at. I go in for one thing and come out with 20. From makeup to soaps to hairdye it's the place to go. The staff is friendly and helpful as well.

Rialto Theatre

This is a fun theatre to go to. It's easy to picture what it was like in the 50th. New theatres are nothing like this one. It could use a face lift on the outside, but over all it's a fun time.
