You have to listen closely as this doctor has an accent and tends to be in a hurry. If you want to ask a question or tell him something you think he needs to know, you have to slow him down and get his attention. You need to make sure he doesn't just think he understands what you mean and what your problem is but really does understand. He is kind and accomodating and will give medicine samples if he has them. He is really good with the facts and is a good doctor. Just a little on the distracted side when he need to be picking up clues from what you say.
Surprisingly good and helpful. Unimpressive office and unassuming doctor but very intelligent and well versed in his profession. Able to inform us of what the problem was and to present us with possibilities for treating it. No wait time at all. Office easy to get to. Flexible in working arond our scheduling problem.
PROS: No wait
CONS: Might be tempted to underestimate abilities
There is a very large waiting room. The reception area is large and the first thing you will see is a receptionist desk in the open area just inside the door. Moderate amount of magazines for the amount of people waiting. Not over crowded but moderately long wait. We were taken back and seen by one person then taken to a smaller waiting room before we could be taken to the area for specific eye testing. Then back to the small waiting room and then to see the doctor. In the small waiting room is a tv that plays a video tape of mission trips to foreign countries that the Doctors have taken. New office. In an developmental area of new office buildings - a little out of the way.
PROS: Respected the doctors
CONS: A little hard to find the first time
We had very inconclusive results there. I guess the best you could say was that they did look at the mri's they had us bring in and took my husband's medical history. The staff seemed more attentive that the doctor who seemed to not want to find anything bad. And he didn't. I felt like we wasted our time there.
PROS: Not painful
CONS: Didn't find anything
This Doctor really helped us a lot. My husband needed radiation and he had been very leery of having it done but it was quite painless and helped very much. It relieved his worst symptoms almost immediately. The staff is very nice and the Doctor was much more optomistic than anyonde else we had seen. We have been back for repeat treatments. They have small cans of juice and small packages of cookies for snacking. There is a tv in the waiting room and a puzzle on a table there that is constantly being worked on. Many magazines in the waiting room.
CONS: Moderately long waits at times
I don't go to this store often but where I have found the good deal is in the clearance stuff. Clearance is not in a central location but almost every department has an area of clearance items. For instance when the laundry detergent, over the counter meds or foods are discounted and you use a coupon on them, you really get a great deal. The electronics department has great clearance I got a dvd player there before they were cheap anywhere else and it had nice features. I bought a nice computer game for my grandson for Christmas very cheap and he loved it. There is a $1 area too. It is easy in - easy out.
CONS: Bathrooms could be cleaner
We went to Advanced Dermatology for my husband's psoriasis. Well they have been very nice but he still has it. Have tried various medicines for it. Many samples. Had many skin tags removed. We have been going for quite awhile and have only seen various physician's assistants. I have heard from a friend that her sister has been taking her daughter there for a year or more for a wart of all things and hasn't seen the doctor either, just physician's assistants. Does the doctor really exist? I don't know. My friend's sister was told that he only sees the really hard cases and she should be glad that she didn't have to see him. Very nice new office-beautiful in fact. And he sells sun protective clothing.
PROS: Sample medicines
CONS: Not much improvement
We have gone there when time was vital but I really wouldn't recommend them because they will send you somewhere else if you have anything serious. One son went there for a kidney stone and they wanted to keep him till the urologist was available in a day or two. They were giving him morphine which wasn't cutting the pain and he almost was given an overdose when he got to the hospital they sent him on to. He probably would have lost the kidney if they had waited any longer to send him out.
PROS: Close to me
CONS: Long wait-inadequate help
I stayed with my mother when she had a health crisis. There was an almost fatal especially long wait getting her diagnosed. I was allowed to stay overnight with her and didn't dare leave her alone the whole time she was there. She was irrational and afraid. She was treated well and so was I but I was hungry and had no way to clean up. I slept fitfully and wasn't comfortable in the chair but should have been glad to be allowed to stay and help her.
PROS: Good Care When They Take You Seriously
CONS: No provision for overnight guests
My father was in this hospital for quite awhile and my husband had angioplasty done there. The hospital gave them both good care and we were satisfied with it. My husband is a vegetarian and he liked the food very much. He has been an outpatient there for a lot of things and there was a long wait. It is hard for a visitor to get food and they were very busy. They have shuttle service to and from your car.
PROS: Good care
CONS: Busy staff- long waits
