I always go to Fields when I have a sewing project. They have a large room in the back with clearance stuff, I can always find what I need in the clearance. They also have a huge selection of fabrics in the store. They are almost always having some sort of sale, so you are always getting a deal. They have a great selection of fleece and other warm fabrics for great winter blankets, that are easy to make. They are always helpful and knowledgeable on what you need and will help you find it. I never fo anywhere else for my sewing needs.
I went here looking for a wedding dress, we showed up 15 minutes before they closed (they were closing early because of a bridal show, but we didn't know that) Even though we showed up so late they were very very nice, and let us pick out whatever we wanted, and they didn't pressure us or rush us or anything. There prices were very fair, and if they were closer I would have bought my dress from there. I was just so impressed with the customer service, they are just so nice.
We got the tuxes for our wedding here. I think they have the best prices by far. Plus you get almost everything includes, a vest, shoes, and tie. We had the required amount of tuxes so the groom's was free. They also require the guys to try on the tux before they take them to make sure they have everything and they fit, and if something doens't fit they have things on site to switch out. They had our tuxes ready 4 days before the wedding so we were able to get everything picked up early with no worries, it was such a relief. The staff there is also very friendly and nice.
When I went here to look for a wedding dress, the service was wonderful, they brought me dresses in the style and price range I wanted and it was just wonderful, they were all so nice. Then I went back about a week later, I wanted to see one dress again, I was torn between a dress there and at another place, and I had awful service. They put me in a little corner with a shabby curtain that wouldn't stay closed, and there were kids on the other side! After they gave us the room, nobody ever came back. I ended up choosing the other dress, and a big part was because I couldn't get any questions answered. I also went for a friend's bridesmaid dress, and got ignored again.
I went here looking for a wedding dress. I tried on several. They do not let you try on anything yourself, which I usually don't have a problem with, but the room is like 3x3 and there is no room for 2 people! They also refuse to tell you the designer of any dress until you buy it! That is ridiculous, some designers are worth a lot more. I don't want to pay a lot for a designer that I have heard negative things about quality, so I think not telling the designer is awful and deceiving. I also think that the employees were not very helpful, I always felt like I was interrupting and bothering them with my questions. I would never send a friend of mine there.
I went here shopping for a wedding dress for myself and friends. I think that the store is very cramped, which makes it very hard to get a look at a dress. They also don't allow you to take pictures, I understand why, but I still don't like it, when you are looking for a dress, you try on so many, it is hard to remember what you liked and didn't without any reference. Also the girls that work there are not helpful at all, they did the minimum if they did anything. Most of their answeres were "I don't know" they don't even try. The owner, however, is very nice and helpful, and she is a whiz with alterations!
I tried this place because they were having a sale and I thought I would give it a try. The place is smaller, which I like, the rooms and beds were clean, they even offer spray deoderant for when you are done tanning, I thought that that was a great idea, I don't know why more places haven't picked up on that. They let you make appointments, which is nice, I don't like to sit around and wait. The staff is always friendly, and they are quick to clean the beds and get someone else in them. They also have individual radios with headphones in every room, I thought that that was very nice, I hate being stuck listening to easy listening!
I used to tan here, but I stopped. They usually have a sale once or twice a year, which is when I bought, I think that their normal prices are a little high. They do not take appointments, so when you are in a hurry you had better hope that they aren't busy. I always tried to go at different times in an attempt to find a time when they weren't busy, but they are always busy, I have never had a wait less than 20 minutes, which I think is ridiculous. The place is always clean though and the emplyees are friendly, but I just can't handle the wait and prices.
We just bought a house, so we are constantly at home improvement stores, and looking for deals. Menards has sales a lot, and they offer a lot of rebates. My biggest problem is nobody employed there ever knows the rules of the rebate and they are not posted anywhere, in fact, they don't even give you the form, you have to search for it on the front counter after checking out. We bought 10 cans of paint there because they were on sale (had a rebate) we asked if there was a limit when we checked out, and they told us no. Then we went to get the rebate slip and there was a limit of 5. We could have made 2 purchases of 5 each, but didn't because they told us there was no limit, so we were stuck. I also think the layout stinks, I can never find what I am looking for. And they constantly play their annoying ads over the loud speaker.
I love Lowes, it is my favorite home improvement store. I can always find whatever I need relatively fast, which is nice because it is such a large store. They are also very helpful, and understanding. My husband and I recently bought a door, and it slipped off the cart in the parking lot and the frame cracked, they got us a new door with no hassle, some places may have said that it was out the door and our responsibility, but they didn't, they were so helpful! I always check Lowe's first whenever I need something, they are just always so helpful, and they never treat you like a dummy if you are a novice to home improvement.
