This shop has always exceeded my expections. My favorite area is the "Book Nook". The books are in great shape. there are classics as well as more recent works usually available. There is also a designer rack, the usual kitchenware, fabric remnants, and a wonderful jewelry display case. This store isn't open on Sundays and has limited hours on the oher days-call for more information. They accept credit card as payment with proceeds from all sales going to the Assistance League of Flintridge (which helps to fund Summer School among other programs). Some parking is available in the small lot pr on the street.
There are a few really special things about this store which i love. First, they offer their own unique personalization on their acrylic products (or something you bought elsewhere). There is a wall of designs from which to choose -including sports, holidays or special events. This talented staff has marvelous ability to create designs on many practical items-lunch boxes, water bottles and backpacks.
They also have become the local favorite hangout for scrapbooking. They carry an amazing collection of stickers, embellishments, papers, rubber stamps. There also scrapbooking classes available.
In these days of big bookstore chains, these is a real gem. The ambiance reminds me of the good old days when you could browse quality merchandise for hours. Although when you need them, the friendly staff can be quite helpful and knowledgeable. There are monthly adult discussions as well as special in-store special events. Special orders can be placed on request.
This quaint gift shop reminds me of Grandma's attic- a treasure in every nook and cranny. There are several "areas" to explore like the kitchen area (Candles, napkin rings, placemats) and decorations(wreaths and wooden figures). It is a fun shop to browse in and the Christmas season makes this place absolutely magical. Parking is available either on the street or in any number of free lots in the area.
This boutique offers one-of-a-kind handcrafted gifts. The jewelry collection is breathtakingly beautiful. There are gifts and decorative pieces available in a variety of mediums including: wood, stained glass and metal. The prices may seem a little steep but keep in mind that you are purchasing a unique piece of art. They welcome browsers.
This a family owned and operated establishment for over 35 years. They sell a wide variety of animals including; reptiles, exotic birds and fish. They also carry a variety of feeding supplies which include: natural pet foods, IAMS, Science Diet, and even live food. They offer extra services including pet adoptions and gentle grooming. Anderson's is open 7 days/week and parking is available either on street (metered) or in any free local lots.
This shop is located in a darling courtyard. It is a favorite local supplier for everything cake-related-including equipment and decorating supplies. Jane's also p[ays host to cake-decorating classes. In addition, they also offer candy-making supplies and cookie cutters for any theme imaginable. There is plenty of parking available either on on the street (metered) or in any number of free local lots.
This barber shop has been a staple in the community for many years. The 6 full-time barbers are friendly and experienced. They offer that extra gentle touch for baby's first haircut. every haircut is finished with a warm towel, a brief neck massage and a dusting of powder. Paco's is located in a plaza so parking is never an issue. Appointments are suggested but walk-ins are also welcome. they are closed on sundays and mondays.
This facility has recently reopened under new management and I couldn't be happier. They are currently open 7 dyas a week-with shorter hours on Sundays. The manager is friendly, helpful and customer-service oriented. the staff is knowledgeable and willing to work with the customer to identify and solve car issues. I would recommend this shop to anybody.
This a terrific daycare for your child ages infant through sixth grade (if you live in the area). They offer hot lunch daily (not for babies). They are open 7A.M. to 6 P.M., 5 days per week. But they are closed on major holidays. the staff is friendly, upbeat and all meet or exceed minimum standards which are set by CA Sicial Services licensing. I have my child here and we are very pleased with the level of care that she receives.
