Last Chance Thrift Store
like any good thrift store, patience is key. I found several items after several visits, but it was worth my time as I had little else to do. The clothes are always a little smelly, but a wash and soak clear that right up.
Up In Smoke Fine Cigars
Up in smoke is where you're money is going to go after visiting here. A good selection at very resonable prices. No price gouging here when I found some hidden vintages avalible and no problems, they even cut my cigar and let me smoke it in shop.
Jack & Ace Cigars
It seems that there are more and more cigar shops opening around town. Mediocre shops with locally run and good intentioned folks behind the counter. The selection was sub par, but the guy working the counter seemed to care about his job. If you're looking for Macanudo its okay, but for more of a selction it isn't what you're looking for.
Midtown Art Cinema
Locally owned in what was a United Artists cinema, Midtown specilizes in playing what other theatres don't bother to pick up. Imports, indpenendents and small features rule the screens here. Tickets are pricey at $8.50, but best to support the local theatres.
Movies Worth Seeing
Don't go here if you're looking for the recent hollywood blockbusters. Instead, they sepecialize in obscure, old and recently imported features that are hard to find elsewhere. the late fees can be harsh, but its worth it to stay away from another vin diesel movie.
Mirage Saree
I recently needed a saree for a halloween costume and the women at the shop were very helpful. I was able to get a complete ensable complete with all the accessories for less than $75 (minus the shoes). The english barrier was there a little, but they really didn't mind that I was not indian.
Abbadabba's Little Five Points
Here is good news for your feet. Instead of trecking around in heels, try some stylish danskos. Abbadabbas loves your feet and helps you love them back. Great selection of Dansko, Mephiso, and Birkenstock.
Lucky Brand Jeans
best jeans ever. Fit to your hips and thighs, these jeans will work you while you work it either in the grocery store or down the runway of lenox mall. Pricey but worth it if you can spend it.
Cloudts Bakery
I dont plan on getting married anytime soon, but i know that when I do, I'll be going here for my cake. Cloudts bakery has some amazing things that it can do with a little sugar and flower. Prices are high, but so is the quality.
Oxford Comics & Games
the key word with oxford is diversity. Videos, comics, action figures, they have it all. If its avalible, they have it or can track it down. Reasonable prices and a great atmosphere make it a wonderful place to shop.
