Fred's Key Shop & Locksmith
They will take care of your key needs. They do the job right. Don't waste your time with hardware shops that make your keys incorrectly and cause you to go back for a refund. This is a true locksmith and it is very likely that they will have the key you need. It is located just south of the Wayne State area.
Forge Industrial Staffing
They found me a job quickly. Their procedures are not simple, but that is to weed out those who are not serious about working. Most of the jobs are industrial/warehouse. I received a promotion quickly. However they take a significant cut, as do most agencies. If I had found my job myself I would have made an extra $5 an hour.
Kelly Services
This agency has a good reputation but i was unable to find a job through them. They seem less friendly and helpful than other agencies. They are located throughout the metro Detroit area.
Act 1 Personnel Services
They found me a good job within a week. This is faster than any other agency I have used. They pay weekly and on time. The staff is friendly. I have had my positon for 2 years and received a promotion. They also have a local office in Livonia, Michigan but the company has locations around the country.
TownePlace Suites
Very nice room. Full kitchen. My room was next to a lake, very pretty. Everything worked fine, room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. My neighbors were noisy but in general the hotel was quiet. The office looks more like a break room than a regular front desk.
White Market Inc
The prices are high, the quality is low, but it is in a convenient location. The location is the only reason I shop here. There are no other grocery stores close by.
Michigan Book & Supply Co
They have a lot of Michigan apparel, supplies, etc. The lines aren't that long but tend to be slow. The location is nice also. I frequently stopped in after class on my way home. They assist you with locating your text books. They usually have the books available. You can also pre-order books. Prices are higher than regular retail stores.
Shaman Drum Bookshop
A lot of people like this store because it is local and a community store. But as a student I did not like this store. The line can be outrageous and you can find better prices elsewhere.
Michigan Union Bookstore
This store is in a good location. The lines are pretty short. They run out of books faster than most stores, probably because a lot of people shop here.
Ulrich's Bookstore
This book store does a good job of keeping books in stock. The staff is helpful even when busy. The store layout is pretty simple so you can usually find the books yourself. The lins can be pretty long. But they are in a very good location if you are walking. If driving, parking will be difficult.
