first their smog price is outragous. Its something like $90 for a smog, everywhere else is like half that or less. The guy tried to tell me how good they are blah blah blah. Also the gas is too expensive. They did have free air for a while but then the nozzle broke and they never seemed to fix it. Oh well I avoud the place now with the price of gas but it is on the way to 880 so thats nice.
PROS: convinient location
well using tickets.com or ticketmaster is always a pain. The bad thing about these guys is you come early on Sunday to buy your U2 or whatever tickets and you never know how it will go. Sometimes they give numbers sometimes they go in order, its always a toss-up so best to come early to the center and avoid the extra ticket charges. THe venue is nice inside and back seats are usually decent
They redid this g as station recently but also took out the service center. They now have a car wash but the automatic kind that don't really work well. They of course have a convinience store. Nice thing about Valero is they take credit cards and don't charge extra. Thats always nice when you are paying $50 to fill your tank! ALso they are close to the fremont hub for food or more shopping.
CONS: gas sucks
Sure Arco is always cheap. However lots of times the pumps seem to be very slow. They take no credit cards for gas. ALso they tend to charge for ATM use. They are supposed to have free air but always need to beg for tokens or use quarters. It is in a convienient location and close to home or work on the road.
CONS: buying gas sucks
I mean come on, fremont is huge. They should have several libraries but seem to be very limited... oh well at least the main one is decent, lots of video (when you reserve ahead of time) and internet stations. During school year can get crowded. It closed Sundays and only open late on some days so plan ahead! Librarians are not helpful near closing...
PROS: enjoy tax paid service
CONS: short hours
Well there are only a few bike stores in fremont and I guess this one seems olright. Only sometimes there is someone in the store that seems to know what they are doing, otherwise its full of teenages changing bike tires. I heard a full tune-up can take 45 days as they are always short on mechanics. Probably they can't afford to live here! anyways sale prices are okay and change every month
PROS: sale items are priced well
CONS: web is the place to go for parts
Yeah Fremont does not have to many options. This seems to be like some kind of indoor rec area with restaurant. Food is blah, typical but nothing great. I found the hours to be very irregular, it seems to close early some nights for no reason and open late on others. Not sure if I would go back as I prefer outdoor activities but might make a good place for a company activity or something like that
They have the most shuttles and currently best price to park for Oakland airport. Right off doolittle they are the closest parking to the south/eastbay. You can reserve online on their website and they have AAA discount for about $7/day they can't be beat. On weekends they get full so make reservation and be prepared to maybe double park. Otherwise they are clean and have fee muffins inside, enjoy!
PROS: cheap close
CONS: parking always sucks
