Amarillo Comedy Club
I just went there for the first time since moving here. A+ for this area. I thinks its the only one here and it is pretty big and half smoking. The drinks are FAST and STRONG. Thank the bar keep for that one. WoW We will be going back ASAP. There was 4 comics. The 3rd one was so funny ... I thought I was going to laugh to death. She was funnier than some people I see on T.V. The main guy was funny , but that girl was A++++. The place was clean and everyone was nice. Plus the price is right. Less then going to the movies!!!!!!
Amarillo Floral
This is the place I go for all my flower needs. Or I call them or I have even ordered online with them. That is so cool and there is pictures you can look at of the things you want to order. They have just moved and I have not yet been the the new store but it is a step up and I can't wait to go visit them. The lady that took it over a year or two ago has done wonders with it. She is more than sweet and is always willing to help and make sure things are right.
Amarillo Salvage
These guys are always helpful. I have an old car and when it breaks down I look for used parts from them first. Most of the time they have what I need or can find it somewhere else for me. So the service gets and A+ The shop is pretty clean I guess for a car salvage place. So give them a call and see what they can do for you before you pay full price for a brand new part.
Stars Restaurant
The food was good. The service was ok there, but the food made up for it. This is a great place to go for lunch. The kids love it. The place is pretty clean and they seem to try and pick things up when they can. It gets pretty busy but they do a good job of trying to get everyone in and out.
Amarillo Tavern
Well let me just tell you so you don't make the same mistake I did. This is not a regular bar. It is in a bad area and is a hispanic bar. This place got pretty rough the later it got and the drunker people got. Anyway I would past this place on your way to the other side of town to go into a different bar.
Amarillo Pawn & Gun
This was a so so place and not in the best of areas. Sometimes that doesn't always mean bad, but mostly the good stuff is taken to a pawn shop on the better side of town so you can get more out of it. Anyway they had a lot of stuff but nothing I wanted that was a great deal. That is another thing the prices were not blow me away low either. I expect to get a good price on things at a pawn shop. Anyway, if you can't find what you want other places try here just in case, but I wouldn't go there first.
Mr Gattis
The food was good and the kids LOVED the rides. I loved watching a disney movie up on the movie size screen they have. It keep the kids in there long enough to eat and it gave me something to do while they were gone. The buffet was good and they will fix whatever type on pizza you want. Just tell them and they will put it out on the buffet and overhead page that that kind of pizza is done. Pretty cool. They have a beautiful salad bar. The place is ALWAYS clean.
Little Laundrymat
This was an ok place to go if you are looking to just wash clothes. Most of the time I was the only person washing clothes. Not that that is a bad thing but sometimes you at least want someone around to watch or talk to. That dryer seemed to take forever. Of course then time slows down when you want it to go faster. The place could use a good cleaning, but like I said if you are looking to just wash clothes you can get that done there.
Small Animal Hospital Inc
This was a place I went into when I found a bunny that its mom had been killed. Although they were not able to take the bunny they did spend some time with me on how to care for the bunny. They sent me home with papers and all kinds of info. I went and bought the milk they told me to and believe it or not and against ALL odds he lived. They explained that most of those bunnies die without the mom. Anyway my hoppy friend grew and was then let go out in the forrest.
Maggiemoos Ice Cream & Treatery
How can I say this...... this was I think the best ice cream I have ever had. They mix anything in it and you get to watch them do it. It is so much fun for you and for the kids. It is also not too high priced for what you are getting. The place was pretty clean. It gets very busy in there so sometimes I guess it is hard for them to stop making ice cream for the 20 people in line and come clean tables. When it got busy they did speed up but then some of the quality time spent with each person seeing what they wanted was lost and it was more like what do you want without them talking about any options. Still well worth the trip there.
