The tellers are wonderful. They are quick, helpful, and actually seem to care about you as a person rather than just your account. It is truly the home of the free checking. Fast and convenient, even open on Saturday. Sometimes a longer line during lunchtime but the wait isn't too long. Absolutely wonderful service.
Perhaps it was a one-time experience, but that one left a very memorable bad impression. Trying to contact someone to handle anything past depositing/withdrawing cash was a nightmare. Was shuffled around and had to continually call to check up the progress. Issue was not resolved until nearly 5 months later. Since this experience, have switched to another bank.
I used to love this place with it's enormous portions all for $5 but ever since the price went up, just slightly, but nonetheless up, and getting undercooked rice, my love for it has gone. The chicken is good, for me, and the beef is a little on the dry side. Healthy meal to grab on the run I believe and the aroma is hard to resist.
My friends and I make a monthly trip of coming here and always, someone orders chicken katsu curry. There are lots of other things on the menu, such as ramen and udon, all are perfectly good, but I go for the curry. It comes with miso soup and salad so you get a balanced meal at a good price. They used to have a super good deal on their crunchy roll but not anymore. It's still good though.
Mediocre food and boba but is closer to UCSD than the one on Convoy. However, the crispy chicken is not recommended, unless you like white meat (makes it drier) and don't like it made with Thai basil. Workers are fairly nice but their kitchen close time seems to vary. Nice place to get together with friends.
Great place for a large burrito, however the size does vary depending on the time you go, usually the busier the smaller. They have random offers such as buy one get one free (later in the week) for election day, leap day, etc. Enjoy the options, guacamole is worth it. On the Tex Mex side, not authentic burritos but tasty nonetheless. Long lines at times but they work fast. Free drink if you show your UCSD ID.
Nice place for family-style Chinese food. My favorite dish is the Shanghai noodles, used to be only $5 but now it's $6, still worth it. They have a special after 9:30pm menu but bring someone that can read it. Some dishes not as good as other, but all worth a try. Waitresses are friendly and pretty good about refilling your water, compared to other places.
Slightly more expensive than it's neighboring competitor but well worth the extra quarter or so. The drinks are made in a timely matter, never have they messed up on my order. I enjoy the honeydew milk tea, don't find that one at all boba places surprisingly. Sometimes they have a DJ that adds another element to the place. Close to closing they sometimes give you extra boba.
More than just a pho place. Offers many authentic Vietnamese dishes. Affordable and filling. Spring rolls and egg rolls great as starters. Pho, broken rice, rice noodle dishes, basically everything is good . Fairly large restaurant so it will cater to larger parties. Service is slightly lacking, sometimes you get your food and drink at the same time.
A little on the pricey side but great food to make it worth it. Servers are nice and not uptight. Good atmosphere and great place for a date. You'll leave more than satisfied.
