I think this might be the only flea market in L.A., or at least in the Hollywood area. I have never seen any other of its kind. Parking is definitely hard to find around in that area. But I think its just fun to go and look at all the interesting stuff. But its rare to actually find something I wanted to buy. I did buy food there, but thats about it.
PROS: Cool place to go eye-shopping
I think this little store is so cute! It's like they placed a french flower store right in the middle of Los Angeles. They have such great flowers and such nice arrangements. Even though its a small store, they have flower arrangements for many different occassions (whether it be bday, anniversary). The prices are a bit high end prices though. I'm thinking you can find the same quality cheaper someplace else. But I haven't really looked that much into flowers.
This place is not what you think. I don't know what Carla was talking about but its more for men to go to than women. There's a customer fee of $3 for new people that go there. They have "special" events there too, but its not suitable for certain people. Let's just say, its a bathhouse for men.
She's such a great person! But her schedule is ALWAYS so packed! She is a great hair stylist. All the people I knew when I was in Austin went to her for haircuts, and they all come back satisfied and with high praises for her. Its part clothing store and part hair salon, and right on Congress.
I heard good things about this store, so when I went to check it out I was a bit disappointed. It is a huge store, but didn't have the clothes I wanted. All the shirts were made with such a thick and rough fabric it was hard to feel comfortable in those shirts. They did have a wide selection of boots however. And they're gift area was great as well. I bought these great hand crafted coasters for my boss here and he loves them. I would buy stuff here other than their shirts and jeans.
I have been going to this golf course when I was a little kid. Its always been a great place for me to go and just hit golf balls on the driving range. I've only been to the south golf course, but the greens aren't that bad. I can understand that its hard to manage the greens when so many people go and play on this golf course. So I suppose its pretty decent in that situation. The midway point clubhouse is a bit shabby and small. Not much that they serve but it'll keep you full till youre done with the course. But I do enjoy the putting area and driving range the most!
This bowling alley is nothing too special. It is just like any other bowling alley. Its not like Jillians or Lucky Strike! But like one of those "in the movies" kinda bowling alley. The location is weirdly located, and would not think of it to be there. But it is and its conveniently located other restaurants, market, and billiards place across the street. Its a bit scary at night because there isn't much lighting around that area. So try to avoid nights when possible.
My sister goes to this church, but I don't like the people there. There are only a select few that go to this church for God. The rest go here to socialize and gossip. Its a very big church, and has many amenities most churches dream of. But with this big sized burden, comes less and less intimacy among church members. Parking can be a huge hassle, and it is always packed from bumper to bumper in the parking lot. If you're lucky, you'll meet the people that go to church for the right reasons.
All the books there are mostly gay oriented. There are rarely any best selling novels or some other form of classic literature here. It is mostly books about sex or books of naked men or women in it. Its more of an upscale version of an adult bookstore. The "porn" books are not trashy but I still consider them somewhat pornish. Its a great place to go to kill some time waiting for your friends to go clubbing right next door.
I think this is a store where people go for a higher end product of beauty products. The store is always clean and nicely presented. They do have sidewalk sales once in awhile which have great deals, but it always is a random sale and never publicized. Its location is really great, right in the middle of Larchmont and next to starbucks!
