Morgan Pest Control
We had a house built in Las Vegas and discovered that we had a problem with red ants. These creatures bite and the bite itches a great deal. We contacted this business and they came out the same day and managed to control these ants. We now have a contract with this firm and once every several months they arrive. We have yet to see another red ant.
Milton Homer Fine Furniture
A friend of ours was having a new house built in the Las Vegas area. They wanted a show house and wanted an interior design firm that was first class. They contacted me to see if I could assist them since they did not live here yet. After getting their floor plans, I started visiting various design studios in town. This was the place I recommended to my friends. They were totally dedicated to assisting the customer. They knew where to get that hard to find piece of furniture that would accent the house beautifully.

A friend of mine was injured in a car accident. They went to approximately 10 different attorneys offices before they selected this team of attorneys. They were informed everytime something happened on their case. They were even contacted to tell them that nothing was new on their case. I accompanied my friend to many sessions with this firm. I was exceeingly impressed with their knowledge of the laws and cases that preceeded theirs that were similar. The front office people are super.
The Forum Shops at Caesar's
There are so many shops located here that offer unique gifts. They are open from noon unyil midnight daily and they are centrally located on the strip in Las Vegas inside Caesars. They have many designer stores, nationwide stores and some unique stores. Be sure and visit West of Santa Fe and when you need a break from shopping, be sure to watch the ceilings (yes, they change from night to day every half hour). Pay attention to the statues because they actually move.
Mike Gonyea Real Estate
Mike is one of the best real estate agents in the Las Vegas area. He is extremely knowledgable about the various areas in Las Vegas. He was (unfortunately) nor our agent but the sellers agent and I was very impressed. He is an extremely plrasant person and really works hard for his clients.
Pops Philly Steaks
Pops is a small restaurant on the corner of Decatur and Alta that is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They make the best philly cheese steaks in town. You would swear you were in a local restaurant in Philly. Their prices are reasonable and they have a very friendly staff.
Hobby People
We visited this store and they have a fantastic selection of model airplanes kits and parts. The prices vere very reasonable. This is a great place to take your kids to start a hobby. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. It is a great place to get that model airplane controller or hard to find part. They have several model airplanes hanging from the ceiling.
Mirage The Hotel & Casino
The Mirage Hotel and Casino has the best check in area of any casino in Las Vegas. While waiting in line to check in or out, you are entertained by an aquarium behing the front desk. Watching the various fish swim by makes the line seem to moove faster. The gift shop is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Be sure to just wander around and enjoy the sights.
Pat's Chinese Food & Minimart
Pats offers Chinese take out food from 10 AM to 8 PM. We recommend that you call ahead and place your order and it will be ready at the time they promise. This take out place is located at the corner of Martin Luther King and Owebs. They also are a mini mart so if you need that cup of coffee or that soda and chips, this is a convient place to stop.
Gladys Southern Cooking
Gladys is located on Martin Luther King Blvd between Washington and Owens. They have ample parking except it gets a little crowded at breakfast time. Their food is traditional soul food. The grits will remind you of traditional Southern cooking. They have extensive breakfast specials that are worth the wait. We recommend you call ahead and place your order if you are in a hurry. This has always worked for us.
