When my cockatiel got attacked by a cat, his eye got a scratch that cut his eyelid. I immediately took him to the vet and they fixed him right up. The doctor was very gentle in caring for him. All of the staff were extremely helpful and kind. They are located on Makawao Ave next to the pasture area, just past the traffic light on Haleakala Hwy. There is a small parking area for customers.
This place has the most knowledgable staff when it comes to horses. Before you even get to ride, they have you fill out a questionnaire about height, weight, etc. They ask you this because the horse that you get depends on your height and weight. The tour guides are extremely prepared and professional. They just want you to have fun, but safely. They have tours going into Haleakala Crater or just a picnic ride to the ranch. Lunch is included in the price of the ride. Rides last for around 2 hours long.
This is by far, the worst tour company in Hawaii. They overcharge you for a tour and the vehicles are dirty and break down all the time at the most inopportune times. The staff is unfriendly and unwelcoming. We booked a trip to a neighbor island and the hotels that we stayed in were very poor looking. We booked an air, room and car package and thought we saved some money by doing this, but I checked online and saw that we did not. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
When I have a party, I always go here for drink mix. My favorite is Pina Colada mix. The staff is extremely helpful and they have tons of drinks in stock. They have wine, hard liquor, beer and fruity drinks as well. It is located in Maui Marketplace and parking is almost always available. Don't forget your I.D. because they card everyone, no matter how old you look.
When my husband was driving home from work a pineapple truck, coming in the opposite direction, kicked up a rock from the road and it hit his windshield and made a crack from top to bottom. We took it to Ace and they installed it the next day. They were very professional and accommodating. They also allow you to purchase and install your own for a discounted price. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do my glass work other than them.
Every time I went to Walmart or anywhere that I needed a cart, I would always see parents with the covering for the cart where their babies would sit. Every store that I went to didn't carry it so I asked a parent with one where they got it from and they told me Keiki Time. I've never been there so I decided to go and they have a great selection of children items to choose from. This was a really cute store and the sales people were really nice. The cover that I was looking for was out of stock, but they ordered it for me and it came in the next week. Their items are pretty expensive, but the quality makes up for it.
This store has a lot of creative party ideas for every occasion. For my 5 year old niece, I wanted to get her a charm bracelet for her birthday, but I didn't want to get a gold or silver one that would cost a lot of money because she always would misplace her things. I made her one here and it came out beautiful. This way you can personalize it the way you want to. You pay for the leather bracelet and for each charm that you want to add on. It slides on the leather bracelet. There you go, an instead gift.
This has been the best ice-cream I've ever had! No one can beat this place. Ever since I was a little girl, this has been the place to go for a cool treat. Now I can take my children here and they can make their own memories. Prices are reasonable, ranging from $1 to $5, for 2-5 scoops. You can bring home a pint to enjoy some guri guri at home. Flavors available are strawberry and pineapple. Occasionally, they'll offer orange also. Because it is family owned and operated, you get to see the same friendly faces each time you go.
My cousin was getting married and she wanted make-up that would last all day without having to reapply. So we went here and they offer airbrush make-up. They did half of her face so that we could see the difference between the two. It lasted all day, and on a hot Maui day, that's incredible. It was pretty pricey, but worth it for a special occasion like this. The consultants were very nice and helpful. I would go there again.
They have a wide variety of wigs available. I never thought that I would think of buying a wig in my life. I have very long dark hair and wanted a different look, but I didn't want to have to cut my hair. So, I bought a honey-blonde colored wig that went just above my shoulders. It looked great and I could have the best of both worlds. It was pretty expensive, but I thought it was worth it. It is located in Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center, upstairs next to the food court. They have an array of make-up and other beauty products. They also have massage services.
