I think it's hard not to give any libraries a good review on just on principle. The Indianapolis- Marion County Lirary system is a really good one. I have used the services of several different branches and they are all staffed with friendly, well informed staff and full of great resources. My favorite is the new Glendale location. And I love how you can do so much online now.
I would recommend Pike collision to anyone needing body work done to their car. They did really nice work on my car and i have seen many other cars who have had work done on them. The owner Harry ( I think) is really nice and very accomodating. They work fast and gave me a really good deal also.
Styles Boutique, hmm, well that depends on your style. Their style is definately not my style but my grandma likes it. It is conservative. I would say stodgy, but that is just my opinion. If you are into ultra conservative style, check it out.
Red Ella is a really nice boutique. They carry some wonderful clothing lines and some really unique pieces. They do tend to be a little on the pricy side, but the merchandise warrants the pricetag. Their customer service really is service which is so very rare in these days.Check them out.
Priscillas is great for the dirty girls and boys who just want to be a little naughty, but not full out perverse. It is the best place to load up on gag gifts and props for bachelor and bacheorette parties. I think they have costumes and stuff also. they may have more serious stuff , but I have only shopped in the more silly sections.
India Emporium is an interesting place to shop. It is a great place to browse around in with an open mind. They have lots of really pretty things. The fabrics are amazing. Also the jewelry is nice. The prices are good. It is a good place to buy an unusual gift.
Collection 94 is a nice boutique. It's a little tucked away in the strip mall it's in, so you wouldn't usually just stumble across it, but it's worth a special trip. They have really nice upscale clothing. Classic but stylish. They have great customer service but they are definately overpriced. I think they cater to the crowd that actually likes paying more.
Pitaya in Broad Ripple is a fun place to shop. I think it really gave the BR boutique scene a much needed kick in the pants when it opened 5 years ago. They have cute clothes at affordable prices. The quality isn't the best, but the clothes usually will last for one season.
Glendale Mall is a good alternative to fighting the Castleton traffic, if you need to get something from one of the stores that they offer at both malls. The L.S. Ayres is a really nice one. They have lots of good sales. The food court is good and the library is nice. Steinmart and the movie theater were also good additions.
Kits and Kaboodle is by far the best toy store in Indy. They have moved around a lot over the years (keystone at the Crossing, Carmel, Glendale mall) but they are consistent in that they carry many wonderful toys always. If you are looking for a more traditional toy than the plastic crap they sell at Wal-Mart, go here.
