So I am writing this based on the old store only. It was cool. They always had lots of stuff to peruse. Great stuff for costumes. And some gool vintage type things too. They always had that rack of really cheap stuff outside too. Kind of a motley bunch of stuff, but that's what we like here in Bloomington, right? I am sure the new store will be even better.
The IU bookstore is okay if you need some IU memorabilia really fast and can't get to one of the other 9001 places in downtown Bloomington to get it cheaper. I would rather get books online. I think it's more popular with parents and alumni. It looks nice inside so maybe that's impressive.
Tis is okay. Just okay. They probably are used to having a lock on the whole college books market. But now that you can get just about anything on the internet, they really need to step up and do something to make their store better. They are too crowded and too expensive in my opinion.
You know I always thought that Sullivan's was for older guys. Really older. But I saw an ad on tv and it looked pretty nice so I went and checked it out. It actually has a bunch of rad stuff. They have some really solid brands. They have some things really marked down. The girl working there said they have really good big sales sometimes. Check it out.
I think that Ellis Floral Shop is way too expensive. I guess that flowers are pretty expensive anywhere, but they seem even more so here. I am not sure why really basic flowers are so costly. Maybe the more rare ones should be, but not so much for carnations, daisies and stuff. Maybe they are really good at arranging them.
So I am trying to be nice and not just say that these guys outright suck. I dealt with two different dudes. One was way cooler but he didn't get a whole lot done for me. The other guy was really stiff and almost kind of rude. I didn't get to far with him. I was having a problem with the price being different than what I was quoted. They did a good job actually, but it's hard to find and the price was high so I would not go back.
There is no denying that I U rocks! It is a really good school in so many different academic areas. Which is good if like most people I know you are going to have to switch majors a few times. It also has a really pretty campus. The party scene here in Bloomington is off the chain. A lot of pretty people are here. A LOT! Lots of activities at IU too. It's a cool school.
