I stopped into Beverage World after going to the Whip In next door for beer. Whip In does not carry liqour, so we decided to do the rest of our shopping at Beverage World. While they don't have a huge beer selection they have anything under the sun liqour and wine wise. Their prices are right on with everyone else and they have a good selection of "mini bottles". I would definately recommend them for your liqour and wine needs and this will be "my liqour store" from now on.
After hearing that whip in offered the widest variety in beer selection in austin, I had to go check it out. I went here for my thanksgiving drinky needs. While it is a very small store, they DO have the best selection of specialty beers, microbrews, etc. They also have a large wine selection (although I was not shopping for wine). When I couldn't find what I was looking for, someone helped me right away. We came out with everything we needed! It is the best beer store in austin!
While I haven't pawned anything to Cash America, I have bought a VCR from them and was quite impressed. They have very good prices on electronics and instruments. I went in just to test it out and see how it would be buying from a pawn shop. They test everything out first to make sure it works. They were very friendly and I even have 7 days to return the item and get money back, no questions asked. It was an overall awesome experience and I will use them again.
PROS: 7 days cash back, friendly
This is a great record store with a huge selection. They actually offer reasonable price for their used discs. You can find just about anything here from the popular to the little known. It may look a little run down on the outside, but it is full of goodies and people who know their music. I was looking for a gift for a friend and got great recommendations from the staff. The person loved the gift and I keep going back!
This is a great adult store in Austin. They have a little bit of everything. The people are very friendly and they often hold a variety of workshops. Check them out! It is a very accepting environment. This store is much bigger than the one downtown and will often host workshops. Be sure to check their website for times and dates. This site also can carry "educational models" which the downtown site cannot. The store is very clean and open...not cramped and dingy like some of them! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good, clean adult store.
I love this store. They always have lots of interesting items. This is a great place to find something for yourself or as a gift. It is definitely worth checking out. I must admit that when I first walked in I thought everything would be way out of my range, but I was surprised to see prices be fairly reasonable. Everything there fits into the black theme and is great and such good quality. This is a great place to stop in and find something unexpected while enjoying your stroll down the many shops of South Congress.
This is one of my favorite museums in Houston. It is free, but donations are accepted. There is always something in here that you probably would not have imagined before. It is a really great experience. They also have a really fun gift shop. I had lived in houston for about two years before venturing out to this museum and I am so sorry I waited that long. Go go go! It is such a neat space which really complements the art. Be sure to go downstairs and don't miss the shop and a whole other display area.
I love the Orange Show! I try and go at least once a year. This is a place for people of all ages. Check their website for upcomming events. You can even host your own activity there! This is a neat and one-of-a-kind place. I can't even remember the whole story of how it came to be, but the whole "building" is a piece of artwork! This is weird and fun and the perfect place to take a date or someone from out of town. After this you can head over to the beer can house and make a day of weird structures. A club I belong to hosts something here yearly and it is my favorite event.
This is a Museum that everybody should go to at some point. They go deeply into this horrible time in history and it is very upsetting, as it should be. You will most likely come out of this thinking a bit differently and learning a lot of things you did not know about the holocaust beforehand.
This is a great small place that has many artist studios in it. There is some amazing artwork and a lot of it is very affordable. There are many different classes offered through the center and I would certainly recommend this place to anyone of any age. The last time I went here I saw a class being held outside on glass art. There were about 10 people in the class ranging in age from probably 18 to 70. There was even someone knitting a cover for their VW Bug! The whole car!
