North Idaho Masonry & Hrdscp
I needed to put up a retaining wall and wanted some faux rock. I found North Idaho Masonry from a friend who recommended some contractors to do the work. I was impressed, Three women actually came out and did the job. They were great and the prices were exceptional.
Silver Lake Masonry
I recently found Silver Lake Rock. They carry natural rock and also what I call faux rock. The kind that is made to look great but is created. I was very impressed with this store as the service was good, the owner knew exactly how to answer questions about the rock and their prices are excellent as I have shopped around. Just past the mall.
Petal Pushers Nursery
I love Petal Pushers. Its quaint, homey (even with their big fat resident cat) and you can find items you might not find at the bigger nurseries. I found some wine grapes at a very good price for a gift. Also good selection of grasses. Grab a chocolate at the little shop next door.
Shields Produce
Shields is one of the last little veggie stands in the ever growing city of Coeur DAlene. Its like going to a farm but not having to drive. They always have fresh vegetables and fruit with a good price.
Larry Shields is an interesting man to talk to if you catch him at the stand.
Snyder's Thrift Store
If you have not discovered Snyders, its well worth a visit. They bake for most of the bigger outlets and provide the same products (bread, rolls, even chips and pies) at a discount price. Its fresh, but 1/3 the price of what you will find in a grocery store. Why pay more?
Lake City Glass
Modern Glass just completed replacing windows in the entire house in which I live. I was very impressed with first of all how fast they did an estimate and actually came out with the custom windows. Secondly by their professional behavior. Replacing windows in a home can be very disrupting. It doesnt have to be when when you use a company like Modern Glass.
True North Home Inspection
True North was recommended by a realtor when I was helping out a neighbor get an inspection on her property. I called them, they came out within 2 days. A miracle in this market and the inspector who came out went thru that property with a fine tooth comb. Very professional and even noted things that he could have just let go. Very much recommended.
D & B Farm & Home Stores
I might have a preference to another ranch store over the border, but DandB is sure a great place for western wear, pet supplies, etc. They have a very good selection of shoes and boots that is worth a look. Also western clothing. Its a convenient location with plenty of parking.
Tack Trunk
The Tack Trunk in the valley always has good sales on off season. They also carry a good selection of shirts and jeans not to mention accessories such as belt buckles.
Browsers Book Store
Browsers is a great hangout on a rainy day (or even sunny day) to find a good book and feel good. The atmosphere is not your big, get lost store but cozy and warm. You just can't help finding something you might like.
