This is your typical dark hole in the wall liquor store. WIth mediocre services and items in stock, you would go here if you were running out of milk and needed it right away. Otherwise I wuold recommend going to a mainstream supermarket for any of your specific needs. Not only will you feel more comfortable there (feels kind of shady), but you will have a better selection to choose from.
This place has a lot of really cute supplies that you won't be able ot find in your average store. If you're interested in a particular topic, like i was interested in getting tennis items for my friend's scrapbook page, they will not only have it in the store, but they will be able to order something for you if you want.
This would be your average rental location, with your normal selection of movies and video equipment. Nothing special to really make it stand out or to make me recommend it to anyone. It's certainly not terrible though, I've seen worse. So check them out if you're near the store, but otherwise, I would say pass.
I usually get my friend or someone I know to cut my hair for me because I don't think it's really worth paying 20 bucks to get it cut straight across, but this place has always been the only place that I would get my hair cut at. I come here if I want something special like layering or a specific type of special hairstyle. They're certainly not cheap, but they're worth it.
In high school we used to purchase flowers from here for special events and make our own arrangements, thus saving ourselves A LOT of money. If you know what kind of flowers you like and you need a lot of them for a little price, this is where to go. Even if you don't know what kind of flowers you want, the clerks there are happy to make suggestions and help you out!
This bookstore can order any book you'd ever want if they don't have it in stock. But being a rather small bookstore, that's a lot of books. They have all of your classic books that your kids would need for school, but if you're looking for that special book that's hard to find, this isn't the first place I would head to. The atmosphere of the store is defintely cosy and relaxing though!
I started taking classes at this art school about 15 years ago. I stopped once I went to college, but I recently paid a visit here and things are still how they used to be. With a caring teacher who has a fantastic eye for painting (watercolor, oil, or acrylics), ceramics, and a multitude of other artistic talents, she's the all around person to ask for advice for any art project. She helped me grow from a kid who drew stick figures, to gaining hte ability to copy the great artists of the past.
When I was a kid and needed to make that electric car for my 8th grade project, or the rocket for my 5th grade project, this is where I went. They didn't have a million different craft stores like they do now back then. This place is still defintiely the place to head for if you're making that toy model car or train. They have a fantastic array of "hobby" craft items that you can't really find anywhere else.
This place may not be heaven for hardcore scrapbookers like me, but they have been able to provide me with a thing or two that I wasn't able to find at other stores. With all of the normal supplies that cheaper stores carry, this wouldn't be the first place that I would turn to for that unique scrapbook for a friend.
My dog recently had to be put down, and that was a horrible ordeal for me. This pet hospital really made the situation as easy as it could be for me though. Not only were the staff always smiling and empathizing, but they really took the time to explain all of the details of her illness and why it was better to let her go. The sensitivity and compassion of the staff really make them stand out in my opinion. The place is always packed with animals so I know that they must be doing something right!
