Tango Chicago
I heard about an event hosted by Tango Chicago for last year's valentine's day. We signed up for a 2 hour lesson on Tango. The instructor, was very friendly, in fact overly friendly, but they gave a great introduction, we were able to do a couple of moves by the end. It really was fun and they made us feel that we could learn the tango which seems very difficullt when you see it done. I believe this group has a lot of tango friends and goes out to different clubs every week, so if you really want to not only learn to tango but actually dance the tango in public, this is the place to learn.
Wendella Sightseeing Boats
Wendella Boats is great. They pick you up on a boat and then you go along the Chicago river while a host tells you about the architectural significance of the various buildings along the shoreline. It takes about an hour and it is very educational. The boats are clean and have an open top deck so you can easily see and take pictures. Definitely recommended on a nice summer day
La Salle Flower Shop
This is a great place to find that unique, custom flower arrangement! LaSalle Flowers will put together something from your own ideas, or you can mix and match combinations they already offer. I have always been impressed by the quality and precision. I have never been unhappy from a purchase! Depending on arrangements, pricing can be expensive, especially for large orders.
Lightology Llc
Lightology is a great place to go to find a cool and contemporary lamp for your home. The multi-level store offers a wide selection of lamps in varying sizes and colors. The staff is very helpful. And it is located close to the El Line. If your home has a modern, contemporary decor, this is definitely a place you need to check out.
Mig & Tig Furniture
Mig and Tig furniture has a lot of great furnishings, but most of it is pricey. I have been happy with all purchases and found all items to be pretty high quality. However, for the price, I would be very unhappy if I had anything less. Across the street from the downtown Chicago location is a Mig and Tig outlet store with marked-down furnishings
Maid Did It
I got a flyer it the mail with a coupon for this maid service. So I decided to call them. I'm very glad I did. They did an excellent job cleaning my home. I didn't even have to give her that many instructions, the maid was very profesional and knew exactly what to do and she did a very good job too. You can call them and they will come to your house at a set time as often as you would like, The charge according to the services preformed, so its not an hourly maid service. But I still think they are comparitively priced to other similar businesses that I have tried.
Jackson's Tuckpointing
used Jackson's Tuck pointing to tuck point my brick house. They did a great job and now my house looks even better then it did before. There pricing is great and there work is exceptional. If you need tuck pointing done make sure you call them. Check them out if you need tuck pointing
Two Brothers Home Improvement
I used this company to tile the roof on my house and they did a good job on it. I have had the tile on my house for over 7 years and still no problems. They charge pretty high but it is worth the price.
Sephora
This is a great one stop shop for cosmetics including hair care, facial, and makeup. They care several brands that you wouldn't find in a regular department store. The service has been inconsistent but if you find the right person, it can be very helpful. Feel free to sample products or even ask to try samples to take home so you can test it out before purchasing it. Great place for girly gifts. They also carry cologne and facial care for men as well.
Totally Tan Ltd
A tanning salon that just opened in the convenient loop... a little pricey but the facilities are reeeeally nice! They only have one standup and super nice beds.. the staff is very nice too.. the stand up was broken when I went in and Ben called me just to tell me that it was fixed!!
