Casey Auto Group
Recently we needed to purchase a new car due to an accident. We went to Hall Honda here in VA Beach and there was a nice man but he said the Civic was the hot new car and they would not budge on the price. Hot car or not I am not paying sticker. After much dealsership shopping we drove the 50+ miles to Newport News to go to Casey Honda. The salesman there Mike was so nice and not pushy at all. We got the deal of a lifetime and everyone at the dealership were about making the customer happy not trying to make just another sale. In the future we will be making the drive for future vechile purchases. I also want to note that we have received a follow up call as well as 2 thank you cards/letters. They have world class customer service and make buying a new car a pleasure not the typical nightmare.
Green Run Florists
I actually went to this florist after reading the review on this site. I was very impressed. The lady that helped me was wonderful. Nice and very understanding that I was lost when it came to what I wanted to buy. A friend of mine had surgery and I wanted just the right gift basket. After about 25 minutes I got the perfect basket plus I got a discount because the lady was so nice and she said I was very thoughtful to want the perfect thing for my friend. I will be going back for sure.
Hubbard & Hartley Pc
I have had experience with Albert Hartley and his staff. Mr. Hartley is a wonderful person. You can not say that about an attorney everyday. Recently I referred someone to him and not only was he able to work some magic and get them out of a very sticky situation he actually cared what happened to them. If you ever needed a Real Estate attorney who knows EVERYTHING there is to know about the process, he is the one to go to. The transaction will go very smoothly and you will feel like a friend is working for you.
Laser Quest
Laser Quest is sooooo much fun. You are put in a room with about 20 other people and all of you have a gun and a vest you are wearing. You play for about 30 minutes in a dark room with 2 levels. The person with the most kills winds and at the end of the game you go to the enterance and they read out your scores. The price is reasonable and it is fun. The only bad thing is you get very hot and sweaty. Make sure you wear flat shoes and comfotable clothing that is breathable. It is tucked back off Lynnhaven in the industrial side on the street where Forbes candy us to be.
Ocean Tumblers Gymnastics
Ocean Tumblers is a reasonable gymnastics place. My daughter went for 3 months and in that time the only thing I really seen her do was some summer salts. The staff is very nice but for the time my daughter was there I thought she would be doing more. The older age groups were doing a ton of acrobatic stunts. This place is a great place to try. The only downfall is that there is a very, tenny, tiny parking lot so it makes it hard to get in and out. You sometimes have to park down the street.
The Love Shack
I personally do not like the Love Shack. As an adult women going into the store and wanting information about the products sold in the store I was very disappointed by the lack of knowledge by the staff. Not only do they not know how the toys work other then a neaderthal answer but they do not even know how a women's body works to recommend something. I felt like they only wanted to make a sale and not answer any of my questions about the particular product I was looking at. I will stick to my in home parties.
Maxx Salon
I went here for the first time the other day to get my legs and bikini waxed. Krista was the gal whom did the job and she was excellent. Unlike most waxers she is very gentle and has a wonderful personality. The salon is also very hip and trndy. I loved the atmosphere in there. They have a massage person, nail person, Krista the skin girl (facials, makeup, waxing) and of course hair. I was very impressed with the whole look and feel of the salon. Near Lynnhaven mall it is very easy to get to. Also the prices are very reasonable for the services you get. At other day spa salons their prices are outragous. Not The Maxx, give them a try it is well worth it.
Fish Safari
The staff and Fish Safari are very knowledgeable on all things fin. They are able to help me keep my fish alive and swimming. I normally go in there for their freshwater to fill my tank when it is low. They have a wonderful variety of salt and fresh water fish. The only thing that I do not like about the store is it needs to be bigger and it is always super sweaty hot in there. Sometimes when I bring the kids they get a mini lesson on fish and candy. I think the small town feel with the extremely knowledgeable staff makes this place a gem.
Virginia Beach Mechanical Svc
Mechanical Services is a wonderful plubing experience. I had to you them on a rental I have and they came out the same day fixed the problem and even let me post date a check to them. Customer service at it's best. I explained my money situation and the need to get the drain fixed and they worked with me. I will use them for everything now. Fast and Friendly service, they are the best.
Cartoon Cuts
This is a very kid friendly place to take your children for a hiarcut. What kids does not like movies and toys while they get their haircut. They make a scary experience so much nicer for the child. I have taken my daughter 3 times and the last time she got a crooked haircut but I just know not to you that stylist again. Other then that it is a wonderful place and I would recommend it highly. They also have nice prices on shampoos and conditioners for adults as well as kids.
