Being a current student at this college, I really do recommend them to anyone interested in bettering themselves or their life. The teachers are incredible, and all areas from student social things to financial aid are super easy to access (in person, mail, email, or online resources). I am a 44 yr old woman re-entering the academic world with no funny feelings at all. I am joined by many other 30-50 something people and we are not that outnumbered or made to feel ill at ease.
PROS: Everything! How could this be negative?
CONS: Work study jobs are close to impossible to get! :(
I love the grocery outlet! You get awesome prices on items you use every day, and they have a lot of "gift" type stuff on the cheap side of the price equation! I love to go in every week or so just to see what is in stock that might be a hard to find item or an old item that is not in the regular stores any longer, but still available through them (like Criss and Pitts bbq sauce).
PROS: Prices, selection, friendly staff.
CONS: getting out of the parking lot can be tricky at times.
Really nice employees who seem to recognize you when you visit (most of my contact now is online). They have online and telephone banking options making it really handy. They also have conveniently located branches.
First of all, they have been my primary doctors for many years, and I won't go any place else, since all of my medical records are there, BUT... it is not run effeciently... super slow, long wait times. And some of the doctors shouldn't be there! One I have had to see three times (a dr. J.) and each time, she misdiagnosed me, or said to try some test that didn't make sense, and did NO followup. I had to call and get results that were negative (of course, that wasn't the problem), and there was nothing more said, even though I had the problem still. Another problem dr., one Dr. B has no beside manners, and she was extremely rude to me about a personal issue. And I hear others don't like her for the same reason. In fact, I think I will quit them come to think of it. Anyone know of a good dr in town? oh, and "family care" isn't family... NO CHILDREN.
PROS: not many... oh, good hours.
CONS: too many to list. Lack of organization and efficiency.
The new building is beautiful and it is run extremely efficient. I think the employees are friendly and nice, but it lacks a "personalized" service (they don't know you, or seem to care ABOUT you). I do like the fast in-and-out thing though... no long waits. That is nice. And the lobby is very pleasing to sit in how brief it is. But I wish they knew me... I've been coming in for many years.
The last of the small town drug store/general merchandise stores! I love to see what a dollar will buy there. Many items will be clearanced, so it pays to stroll up and down the aisles and take your time. The pharmacy staff is super friendly even though they are super busy.
I can't resist going into the Dollar Tree every month to see what they have new... cheap! Although I have found some real steals, I have also been bitten with broken, or easy to break items, and find returns are a hastle. I wonder if how much I have been unable to use has really made these "dollar" items? On the other hand, I have bought a few things there and resold them on ebay (yes) for 10 times what I paid for them. I find it a great holiday decorating and crafting source.
One employee is a thief. She gives change out wrong and plays dumb when you point it out. This has happened to myself numerous times ( I avoid her now) and to two other people I know. She gives change for a $20, for $4 worth of items with a $1, and two $5's, instead of a $1, a $5, and a $10. BEWARE!
PROS: Cheap, resource, fun to scavenge.
CONS: Employees can be "iffy", broken items, defective items, cheap items.
The girl who does the rentals is on the "short/rude" side of customer relations. They rented me a house with a year's lease, that was for sale, but did not disclose that fact. After two and a half months of renting, I got a 20 day notice to vacate, due to the house selling. I am a single mom without financial means or a vehicle. This was a HUGE struggle. RENTER BEWARE! The girl who handled the rental told me smuggly, "all of our rentals are for sale"!!! The ONLY reason I gave them a 2-Star is because I did get all of my deposits back; tho how much damage could have I done in that short of time.
PROS: Good with deposit return.
CONS: ALL HOUSES FOR RENT ARE FOR SALE, and they only give you 20 days to get out
I was leery of my first time using a "rental agency", fearing a lot of things, but they were great. The staff tends to "know" you by name, and they respond immediately to issues with the rentals. They understood some issues I had and were super great about return of all the fees, deposits and etc. I would definately rent from them again.
PROS: Friendly people. Fast response time. Play fair on refunds of deposits.
This place is really nice! You step into a nicely furnished entrance area (as well as all other common areas). They have a communal eating area, a Beauty Salon, lots of other ammenities. There is a staff at the front desk, and it feels like a fancy hotel when you enter. There are events that happen year round and the residents feel like family. I am just a visitor, but I appreciate what is happening there.
PROS: Like a mini community with lots of things to do and that are going on.
