Midas Auto Svc Experts

We used to use Midas for our oil change and brake service while in east coast. Job was done efficeintly and good. But here,they are not pleased to see you walking in with a coupon in hand, and the brake service is much more expensive than other chain stores or small garages. The brake serviec they did dispointed me.

Pruett's Food

This supermarket is the closet one near our cabin at Beavers Bend State Park. We went theer to shop our dinner. We don't like the roasted chicken (3.99 for the whole chicken, size is small, and tasteless). But we found other stuff satisfactory with good quality and cheap price compared with the price at big city.

Hochatown Junction Resort

We rented a smaller cabin 2 months before our travel, when we arrived there, they allowed us to change to a bigger unit since it is not peak season. The first cabin si a liitle bit old but very cute and clean with all the amenitiedwe need. The secodn (bigger) cabin is new and clean . It is a 2 bedroom with 2 bath and we love the cabin especially the interior design. And we were surprised that all the blankets and beedsheets are very clean.
We strongly recommend it.

Beavers Bend River Floats

We rented a boat for 12 people for 2 hrs (minimum) at $180 plus gas, We did have a great time touring the lake with so many small islands in it though we are not allowed to get close whitin 50 feet of the coastline.
The service at the river boats company is good, well, this is our first time. We probably would like to spend time there again and mayeb try water jets or something different next time.

Beavers Bend Resort Park

It is a great vacation spot for those wishing to escape to the serenity of nature to fo trout fishing fro boating. We went there in mid May, non-peak season, the weather was good and the cabin is clean and neat. The horse riding tour inside forests for 40 min is best way to see wild animals (deers only), of course, you coudl see squirrels everywhere.
Friends told me the cabins inside the state park is older and not so clean. There are so many cabins over there for lease.

Kids Connection Preschool

It is a private school with very good reputation in this area. If you have money and you want your kids focus on academics, then it is a good choice to enroll over there. They have limited playground space and limited time for kids to play, but they do have very good track records academically.
If you have money, and you want your kids to be around with rich(good?) family, then it is a good choice. Basically, most private schools are like that.

Avalon Foster City

It is an old building but maintened very well with reasonable rent. And you could bargain with them easily. The biggest problem of this apartment community is only one assaigned parking per unit, so after 7pm, it's very difficult to find parking even along on the roadside. Depends on where the rented unit is, you probably would have to carry your heavy dirty clothes all the way to the laundry room. But the laundry room equipped with new and modern washer and dryer.

Lakeshore Landing Apts

We used to live there in 2002 to 2004. I think now they charge hot water and most 2 bedrooms unit installed with waher and dryer ($50 more montly rent) even though in the 2 yrs , we have to pay roughly $50 for water/sewer per month.
It is located close to highway 101, but the noise came from your neighbors not the traffic. But we do like they maintenance staff , very professional and efficient. When it's time for us to renew the lease, they offer new tenants $200/mo lower than we paid, and they asked us to pay same rent as the 2 yr old apts nearby close by.

Metro Cleaners

First of all, I have to admit location is very important, and this cleaner is in a very convenient plaza. But it is closed early, maybe 6pm during weekdays and not sure if they open on weekends. I have asked for the price for cleaning my jacket, it is extremely expensive, the price they asked is same as the long winter coat in other cleaner.The price for tailoring is above the average,too. Since they do not offer any discount or coupon, and their price is higher than neighboring cleaner, You are welcome to go if you do not care about the charge.

Primrose School Of Las Colinas

My niece has been going there since six months old and she is 4 years. Overall, it is a very new, spacious and safe facility and the teachers take care of the kids very well with writing down all necessary daily activity. Though very often, the teachers did not put sunscreen on my niece even though the parents orally requested and even in written. One of my niece's classmate even got sunburn while she was 2 and then transfered to another school.
