I have eaten at cafe joelle's a handful of times and each time I was pleased. It's a small place but decorated very nicely and you feel like you are somewhere elegant when you eat there. They have great soups and nice salads. They are a bit pricey, but the food is good. They have a lot of light fare, like fish and various pasta dishes. They also have a pasta night which is a very good deal, it's a prixe fix menu.
I have ordered quite a few arrangements from this florist and I am always happy every time. They create really unique designs, and they stay away from the boring babies breath and carnations which I really don't like in a bouquet. Every person I have ever sent flowers was always really thrilled with what they got. They really create something different and there prices are reasonable. They always deliver on time and the flowers are always fresh.
My son attends the Tender Hearts location in sayville, but it is the same owners as the mt. sinai location. He goes one day a week for now but I am enrolling him in their summer program. It is a beautiful school, with really pretty murals and lots of great educational toys. They do lots of cute projects, and what I really feel best about is that I truly feel they care about my son. He doesn't get lost in the shuffle there. The owner is frequently around and she really cares about the school.
I have used Harvey's for many years now, I love DonnaMarie, she is the best stylist. I have moved away and it's not so easy for me to get there, but honestly I haven't found anyone who gives a better haircut. Prices are a little on the high side, but definitely worth it. They have been there forever!
My sister turned me on to nannyberrys. It seems to be like a consignment shop or at least different people selling their things in one place. They have a really nice variety of things and their prices seemed somewhat reasonable. Lots of antiques and some things seemed like repros. I love stuff from the forties and they had a great selection of stuff. It was fun to just go in and look around. Something different.
We purchased our home using dutch door realty. I would have to say that our experience on that end was great. We also used them to sell our existing home and that was a little bumpy. All in all it worked out ok for us, I just wish I did some more homework before I made my decision. They were very nice to us, and very concerned, it was just a very stressful time.
Dees is a family owned business and has been around for quite a while. While their prices may not be the best, they do have a wonderful selection and they recently renovated the grounds, it's now huge. They have a florist section and we have always been happy with the flowers we order from them. They have a great selection of plants, indoor and outdoor as well as veggies and flowers. They have a great sale around the fourth of july, lines out the door.
We used them when buying our first home. We had a lot of problems with regards to selling our condo before actually closing on our house. They were very understanding and very helpful. We needed to borrow more money at the last minute and it was no problem, they really came through for us. Very professional and caring, I highly recommend them.
I used to go to Dr.Mandell's office but I stopped going and stopped recommending it due to the overall crowdedness of the practice. More often than not I was seen by nurse practicioner as opposed to an actual doctor and I never really felt that I was taken care of. At one point I wound up having undiagnosed mono, but the people at the practice never even tested for it. I was pumped full of unecessary medicine and was even told that the reason I was feeling so poorly might have been depression.
I have been taking my 2 and a half year old to julies gym for a mommy and me class. It is an hour long and he has a wonderful time. I usually hate mommy and me's because I find them either too structured or not enough structure. This one is just right and very appropriate for 2 year olds. They have a short circle time in the beginning, one in the middle and one in the end. The rest of the time the kids are practicing jumping, tumbing and climbing and developing gross motor skills. We love it!
