Paul's Tune-Up
I went to Paul's a few times for oil change specials and I was not disappointed. Unlike Goofy Lube, you can trust Paul's Tune Up. The prices are resonable and the guys all know their stuff. They WILL NOT try to rip you off. If they did, I wouldn't be so nice right now! I believe the oil change special was a nice 13 bucks with the filter :) Highly recommended!
Steves Hair Studio
I have had my hair cut at this studio on a few occasions, and while the results have been satisfactory, the high price must be noted when you go here. The people are all very nice, and the selection of products is better than normal, but in the end, for a normal male with a normal hair cut, you are better off just going to a Great Clips. Just my two cents!
Magill Elementary School
My mother has been working at this school since it opened almost ten years now and I have seen for myself how much it has grown - both in size and learning. The school is in great shape, and the teachers are fabulous. This is one of the better funded Gwinnett County elementary schools, and if you are moving into the area, try your hardest to get your kid into this school.
Smoothie King
Very impressed with service/taste/overall experience at this location. I was in and out in a matter of miutes! I am sure to return based upon my recent experience.
ATM (Wells Fargo Bank)
This is a world class bank for sure. Previously with Main Street Bank, I switched to Wachovia when I moved downtown. I have been VERY pleased with the service I get both in store and online. Their phone customer service has been great and they always post the next business day online. I have had zero problems with this branch and I will continue banking with them and recommending them until they make a mistake!
Jiffy Lube
Real auto mechaincs don't call this place Goofy Lube for nothing. I have basically had it with this particular Goofy Lube. They've left the cap off of my oil TWICE and they've tried selling me unnecessary products every time I have been there. Make sure you are with someone you know when you go there, because THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY IF THEY CAN. That said, they are friendly people during the scam.
Snellville Middle School
Like South Gwinnett High School (what SMS leads into), this school, outside of the new additions, is getting out of hand. Gangs are a concern and trailors are still a plenty. This is not the great middle school it once was, and the future is not any brighter. If you are a potential Snellville parent, please look into enrolling your student into a Grayson middle school, for your child's safety.
South Gwinnett High School
Like the previous reviewer, I also attended this school a few years ago. Still, I have witnessed many of the changes forst hand and most are not good. The school is taking on a larger portion of the poor neighborhoods and gangs are becoming a concern for many Snellville families. The basketball team is now an annual threat for state, and the football team (starting with David Greene in 1998) has always been a force.
Buckhead
I have had three experiences with this taxi company, and all of them were good. They did what any good taxi company would do: picked me up on time, got me there in a timely fashion, didn't bug me on the way, knew where he was going, and didn't rip me off, even if I was a little drunk. I would recommend this taxi service to anyone who lives in the Atlanta area!!!
Philips Arena
This stadium is home to the Atlanta Thrashers and the Atlanta Hawks. You will probably get ther best experience out of this arena during a hockey game, but that's just me. Tickets are average compared to the rest of both leagues, though the parking situation is less than ideal. I would recommend taking MARTA down, as it drops you off right in front of the arena. Go Thrashers!
